Clean audio please, that way when we decide to make noise, it can be somewhat consistent between pilots

Sorry for the delay, my noisy flatmates kept playing music when I was trying to record. Because the recording sessions are spread out over several days (until someone's music ruined it), the volume might not be exactly the same everywhere, my apologies for that. If you're not happy with any of the recordings, please let me know and I'll redo them. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RvLD4dAbtKiQCLHUIZ2DWH_otk0s9vCV/view?usp=sharing 1 2
SAG Posted December 19, 2018 Author Posted December 19, 2018 OK, i have to come out and say this. i'm sorry that there have been no updates to the MOD for a few months. that being said, next semester is going to be even busier, for I have taken 2 jobs (and possibly will take a third) on top of the Uni. Many voices need re-doing and i have some original tracks with different voices from different (awesome) collaborators, so IF anyone is willing to undertake finishing this MOD and posting it public to the forum (That person could make his own thread of course), I and a good portion of the community would greatly appreciate it! PM and me or contact via this thread if your interested! S!
OrLoK Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I, too dont have the time I hope someone picks up the ball! Thanks for all your previous hard work! o7 1
F-Dog Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Thank you very much, this really helps whilst Playing in VR (especially if your British) 2
WWSitttingDuck Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Just found out about this, and it is very interesting. The four German Fighter voices (51-54), does the game randomly pick which pilot voice is going to be used for a particular plane in Multiplayer? And, is there any way to make sure one particular actor5x voice will be used. but great work.

Sadly, it is all random in multiplayer (also, there are no callsigns in multiplayer) i dont know if you can assign callsigns in SP or coop though
DragonDaddy Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I’m not sure exactly what this does. Can someone supply some additional information? I’ve installed it but nothing seems to happen. Thanks

This mod replaces the voice files with English ones, so that you should hear Engish voice comms instead (no matter the side you fly for).

There is always some ai in a flight, if not filling all four slots. So if I want to use squadmate's voices for simple stuff, like take off clearence, I should edit all four (51-54) voices with a different person, correct? Also, going to assume if I delete one of the folders (actor51 for example), the game will not default to another folder, just anything that actor51 might say will not get produced. Is that correct?

Yes to the question and i dont really know about your assumption. iv'e never tried launching the game without the files. 1
I.JG3_CDRSEABEE Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I am having trouble getting this to work. It used to work when it first came out. I just started back playing il2 and installed the latest version in JSME by unzipping it in the mod folder. Still getting stock (game) voices. Anybody got an idea on whatcould be wrong?

Anybody got an idea on whatcould be wrong? your jsgme EXE should be in the same folder as your data folder, and your mods folder should have a folder with the name of the mod: Mods>ModName>Data> etc... or you can just unpack the contents from the data folder from the mod, into the data folder for the game

seafireliv Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 I wouldn`t mind helping in this effort if you still need it. I have an English voice.

Anyway, the mod is currently not being developed for lack of time and the fact that the upcoming English and american voices will make it redundant. I may create a new version of this mod that turns all voices into English voices at some point if the new sound engine allows it! S! and thanks for the offer Edited September 5, 2019 by SAG 1
LF_Dregal Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 I am doing this same mod but in Spanish, is there a way to find the text lines in any game file? I can translate them, but I would like them to coincide with the official translation that appears in the subtitles.

In other words, you would have to have mods on mode to make that translation work and I don't really remember the file where those subtitles where. (and my mind may be mis-remembering ever finding those files)
352ndOscar Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Has, or will, this modification been extended to Tank Crew?

Assuming I've scraped the game files correctly, the attached CSV should map the audio file names to the matching subtitle text. script.zip

Maybe in the future, for now I've stopped using Tank Crew until the devs decide to make it playable in VR (which is the main reason for making this mod). It's an incredibly simple mod though. just replace the audio files in the German folder by the ones in the American folder and boom! you've got Jhons riding panzers XD
