I used this fix that I quoted above to get my Splash Screens working again. I just checked it and they are working just fine. S!Blade<>< Edit: Here are all 4 Splash Screen Mods which work in JSGME. Just unzip to your JSGME MODS folder and use JSGME to apply only 1 at a time. https://www.dropbox.com/s/h8t4xx35j8lfz30/JSGME_SplashScreens.7z?dl=0 Edited January 18, 2019 by BladeMeister

JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Well I tried all 3 of these only one at a time and still no Joy
BladeMeister Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I just tested it. You do have to have MODS on for these to work. I tested Splashscreens_Blade_ 2 and it definitely works. If yours is not working then you must have something set up wrong in JSGME. S!Blade<><
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Yeah that must be it I dont play with mods on...Sad that we cant have certain mods approved to be on in Game. I love the grass and tree mod and the tanks skins mod...
EffeDB Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 6 Feb 2019 Version 3.010 Hello, these are the 3 new *.gfx files to overwrite in C:\...\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\data\swf\ and C:\...\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\MODS\Splashscreen\data\swf\ Without this substition the game doesn't start anymore. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3gfx.rar <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
[FAC]Ghost129er Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 (edited) Has anyone managed to get it working? Despite extracting the latest gfx files yet no success; still on a black screen... Trying to just use a simple, single DDS file with just the Sim logo on it... Disregard that, I've gotten it working and got an understanding of the values, what has to change and etc. Edited July 30, 2019 by [FAC]Ghost129er 1
Off_Winters Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 A great mod, thanks. I played about a bit and was able to edit the splash screen text that displays. It now references the small group I fly online with. makes the game a little more personal. excuse the quality of the pictures they are photo's of the mission load screen. regards Rob.
Mike2945 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 This does seem to be complicating matters unnecessarily for those not familiar with JSGME . All you need to do is download and unzip the files in Blademeister's post above. Then open them (the path is splashscreen/data/swf/il2/preloader/images - that's the file that contains the 18 images). Do that for all 4 sets - original, historical, Blade 1 and Blade 2 - and copy them into a folder (I've called it 'Splashscreens - just to be original (!)) anywhere on your PC. Now go to your game and find the original images in il2 Sturmovik/data/swf/il2/preloader/images. Then delete the 18 original images and copy and paste whichever new set you fancy from your 'Splashscreens' folder. I've swapped the original set for one of Blade's sets, then for the historical set (very nice by the way), and back to the originals with no issues. Mike 1
BladeMeister Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Haven't followed this in years. Does the original JSGME download still work, or is some modification needed at present? S!Blade<><

Thanks G'Day AH, You have to edit the logo files found in the "data\swf\il2\preloader\logo" folder. they are .png files. there are 12 files (I use the .eng versions English, if your game is say German than alter the ones with the German extension in the name) that are used by the info.txt text file to co-ordinate which file goes with which logo type. I just opened the file in paintshop rpo 2020 and edited the text in the lower coloured box. I installed using jsgme. If you didn't want to edit all of the logo image files, you could edit the info.txt file to only call on one black and one white set and then assign them to your new background screens as needed in the info.txt file. ie black text to pictures with a light background colour and white text version to images with a dark background colour. this is an example of the info.txt file that I have modified to just show two different images all using the same text set. . I hope this has helped, regards Rob Edited October 25, 2020 by Off_Winters
Arturas_LT Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Thanks Off Winters?, you explained so clear that no more questions ? 1
DetCord12B Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 (edited) @Off_Winters Are you aware of a way to get the game to utilize a different logo header? I have the set done where the IL-2 Sturmovik section is in white and I have it properly set in the cfg, but it just doesn't want to use it. Disregard! Figured it out. Semor76 Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Folks, None of the older splash screens mods work with the current game version, can we get a newer version please? cheers
MajorMagee Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 You can find one that still works with tank images here. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/78959-tank-effects-v11/ Use the SWF folder part of that mod, and exchange the images with your old ones. I found that I needed to adjust the image size to display properly on a 21:9 aspect ratio screen. My screenshot images at native 3440 x 1440 are centered on a 3440 x 1920 canvas for use as new splash screens. 1

JSOflyer69 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Yes it’s good to make some of your own, perhaps some screenshots that you like best. perhaps we could have a screenshot completion,we vote and the best 6 get made into a mod 1
VIII_Ball Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Just a note for anyone using Custom Splashscreens in 4.707c. You have to UnGTP the swf.gtp and grab the following file: interface.gfx and overwrite the old version in the Mod. Otherwise, when using your custom splashes, you won't be able to see anything other than Global settings. The UnGTP util is easy to use, just drag and drop a gtp file and the util will do the rest. Hope this is helpful. 1
