I ran Opentrack AND AItrack AND IL-2 with Admin privileges. Started with launcher and with IL-2 exe and neither one works.

Try repair NPclient.dll location:
Output -> freetrack 2.0 Enchanced -> (settings)... -> Locate DLL -> NPclient.dll -> OK

Thanks for all your input guys. Tried the recommendations above. Still "No Joy".

I run through Repair DL as advised . Select NP Clent dll as shown below. Click "open" then OK in the protocol settings screen.

I'm reinstalling open track now on a new system.

 

Luckily I accidently backed up my previous settings.

 

But I'm having an issue with the new ps3 driver they recommend on the github when I startup open track it says something about the driver not working and insufficient permissions... a restart might fix it I guess but I can't right now cause HSD setup is running >.<

 

Anyone familiar with the new driver?

 

EDIT: installed the K driver first then the 32 driver and it works now

I just bought the Delanclip Fusion (PS3 camera included) with Opentrack 2022.1.1. Received it in five days. Installed it on my headphones and all went like a breeze.

The infrared led support is very light.

Calibrated, set the curves and works seamlessly with IL2. Thanks to BlackHellhound1 for the introduction and in detail explanations. Motions ingame  are very fluid and precise.

Very nice magnetic connector to charge the battery of the infrared led emitter.

I find it better than Track-IR that was more cumbersome with all the cables around and had a tendency to offset more. The Delan seems more stable.

I've been using Opentrack since 2018 and prefer it over TrackIR.  I currently have a Delan Fuson on a Corsair wireless headset.  Two things that I changed six months ago really improved my head tracking. 1)  I disabled Y (the up and down head movement).  That keeps my view on the same plane and I don't get the weird views looking off into space that I used to get.  I already had Roll disabled since I don't need it.  2)  I set up deadzones of 4.0 on Yaw, Pitch, and Roll, and 2.0 on X and Z.  That locks my view to the gunsight when I get within that deadzone range.  That way I can still be visually tracking until my sight comes around to the target then my view temporary locks in and is steady.

If you pause IL2 you should be able to alt-tab to opentrack and make changes.

Anyone tested the new filter named point filter?? (was added some months ago)

it isn't a replacement for accela but another layer of filters, since i activated it i can lower the sensitivity of acela and it is responding a lot better than before. 

anyone knows what each slider do?

thanks, i tried the recommended settings and it feels like slowmotion, but with my settings it works a lto better than without it. 

I think its a good option to add to the guide but the lack of good base config make it difficult to finetune

Has anyone had the problem of open track crashing super frequently, like it is opened and it crashes, then i center my head and it crashes? It does work sometimes but is a bit random which is dissapointing. Il-2 is running smoothly, but not opentrack...

It has always worked fine for me, over 3 years of use. What is your complete set-up? IR/FaceTrack/phone, OT settings, if using an PS3 eye cam what driver are you using to run the camera?

using delanclip, ps3 eyecamera. input-point tracker 1.1, output is freetrack 2.0 enhanced, filter is accela. T.16000m Hotas, i7 5820k, gtx 1650, 16gb ram etc

It is frustratingy intermittant, as in I had this problem and its not happening so much anymore. Especially seems to happen if i open opentrack before opening IL-2.

There is a significant error in the instructions in the OP.

 

For best results with the PS3 Eye camera and the latest OpenTrack in the `Device` dropdown it is necessary to select the `PS3 open driver` not the official `PS3 Eye Camera`.

 

I initially had it set up using the `PS3 Eye Camera` as specified in the instructions and in MSFS the performance was downright bad, not matter what adjustments I made to the configuration the camera panning was jerky and twitchy. When I selected `PS3 open driver` it was instantly much smoother.

So what's up with TrackHat System v2 and Opentrack v 3.1 ..... I am trying to get it going, NADA.

The software starts OK with games, Freetrack enabled, but the hardware is not seen, though the 6 leds glow red.

 

There's no manual at the web site nor Github, only the old Trackhat version, and BHH's cersion is FAR BETTER.

Can anyone Sanity check me?
I've recently updated to the newer TrackHat Clip Pro and decided i'd install the standard Opentrack and give that a bash instead of the Trackhat branded one.
there's buckets of options!
Anyway, filters etc aside I need to measure and set the IR distances, has anyone else done this?
I traced around the clip and then used a ruler/square to line through the LED's and came out with this, is it similar to anyone elses? I can't see this info on the web generally.

I use the Delanclip and PS3 camera.  Are you using the latest Opentrack version, 2023.1.0?  In my setup it only has the correct PS3 open driver selection for the Device (the PS3 is turned on).  Have you reinstalled Opentrack?  You might have got a corrupt file.  I've been using Opentrack since 2018 and have never had any problems.  I always start it before I start IL-2.

The front dimensions are close to mine, my sides are larger than yours. Just give it a try and see how the response is, you can always go in and adjust it, mine are default values as I use a 3d printed clip that was sized to match the TrackIR dimensions.

PS there's a new Opentrack 3.2 for the Trackhat Sensor v2, and it's greatly improved regarding stray light errors.

It's tuning is quite simple, set center to a warthog throttle button and only needed to correct Yaw( set to freetrack).

It looks like you are using "TrackHat Opentrack" while this guide is for the original "Opentrack" program. 
The TrackHat version is modified by the TrackHat team so it's missing some functionality. I would advise asking your question to the TrackHat support or forum.
If that doesn't work, you can look into using the original Opentrack instead.

Hi BHH, i figured it out somehow, it works. Manually i just put the npclient.dll and freetrackclient.dll drivers in system32 and the ***64.dll versions of them in sysWOW64.

Any advice how to save mappings and shortcut bindings would be much appreciated. I've tried looking online but not found anything that worked. I'm running as Admin, have created a new ini but none of the settings are stored for the next time.

Which version of Opentrack are you using? I assume you are asking about Opentrack mappings.

Make sure the ini folder, and files, are not marked "read only".

Apologies, yes the Opentrack settings. I'm using v 2023.3.0. I've checked the ini files properties and they are not read only. I'm using Windows 11 if that makes any difference.

I had only checked the ini files which had been read and write. Since then I checked the properties of the folders for OpenTrack and the configuration directory and some files were read only. I've changed them to writable and tried editing mappings but as soon as I quit and startup Opentrack again they've gone back to default.

OK, one more question. Are you using the installer version of OT, or the portable version? The installed version is from the exe file, the portable is from the 7z file. I don't know if it makes a difference, but you never know. I'm using the portable version of 2023.2.0. There have been a couple of reports with issues in 2023.3.0, none like yours though. You could try running 2023.2.0 and see if makes a difference.

My downloaded file is called OpenTrack 2023.3.0 win32 setup. I don't think it was a 7z file. I'll try a previous version and see if I have any luck. Thanks for the suggestions.

I've just uninstalled v2023.3 and installed the portable version of 2023.2 and it's keeping my mappings. Hooray. Thanks so much for your advice. Really appreciate it.

I have used NaturalPoint and then OpenTrack for years on Windows 10.  Now after a prolonged period of inactivity, I can no longer get the tracker to work in any game!  I have tried the solutions outlined in on the trouble-shooting section of the original post (run as admin, change startup data, etc.) but nothing works. The OpenTrack software and tracking work fine, I just cannot get it to apply into my flight sims. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Would anybody be willing to share their profile for IL2 GB for the Delanclip?  The default Delanclip profile just behaves oddly in GB compared to other titles.  I am struggling to get it dialed in.

may be you can help me; I use opentrack and delanclip, with a ps3 camera, since 3 years , no problem; but since I replace my computer , I reinstall opentrack and delan clip with ps3 camera, but in the ccokpit the viw is very badly flickering, twitching, not stable at all; and I dont find why.

I try  several adjustments of all possibilities in opentrack, no improvment, I cant succeed to stop this screen flickering.

An idea?
