6./ZG26_5tuka Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) Here's the public release version of my Ju 52 3/m G4e Template. Apart from being upscaled to 4k resolution, many contents of the original teamplate were modified or completely replaced with new art assets to go along with the increased level of quality. Some feautures like the the bended ends of corrugation, stabilizer indicator and oil indicators had been created from scratch and added on top of the original content. To make it easier to work with I included guidlines to explain how to setup things properly. Before getting started with the template you require these files:1. Skin template2. Alpha Texture template3. NormalmapBoth the skin template and the Alpha template are included in the Template Kit whereas the Normalmap is availabel seperately.DonwloadsTemplate Kit: Photoshop (PSD) Gimp (XCF)Normal Map: DownloadNote: The Photoshop template includes caution layers to show which layers belong to a layer group. Since there's no way to export layer groups to psd format Photoshop users have to create those themself.Pls report any issues and bugs.Special thx goes to:1CGS for providing the default templatePanzerbar (refference materials)Retnek (refference materials) Edited March 3, 2017 by 6./ZG26_5tuka 3 1 8

A-E-Hartmann Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Thank you very much 5tuka.Pretty work .
Jade_Monkey Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Is this going to need a matching normal map? I assume most rivets etc dont line up with the default one.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) The 4k nornal map is not ultimately required for the skins (most details match close to the default one). However, due to the fact I had to redraw all panel lines by hand and added a few extras like enhancing the corrugated metal effect I highly recommend getting it (also works nicely with the default 2k ingame skins). Fafnir_6 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Hello, Thank you very much for making this 4K template. I am working to make some KGrzbV9 skins for the Ju-52 career and I have a few questions regarding the use of the files above. For the main skin file, I am using the GIMP version, and I would like to know how to use the two files contained therein. Do I need to edit both the 4k skin and the 4k alpha or just one? What is the difference between these? Thank you very much for any help you can give, Fafnir_6 ***Edit: I've been cruising around the forums and I believe I may have answered my questions above. Is it correct that the alpha file is there only if I wish to adjust reflections on my skin away from the military or civil defaults? If so...I think I'll leave it and stick to the military preset. Thanks!*** Edited May 15, 2018 by Fafnir_6 Figured out the insatllation and use of the normal map files myself...yay!

Thanks!*** Hey Fafnir, sry for the late response. You're right with your conclusion. If you want to skip the alpha editing you can also use my predefined alpha texture within the skin template (there's 2 versions for military or civilian Lufthansa paint schemes). 1 1
Fafnir_6 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) Hello, I have successfully made my first skin pack using this glorious 4k template. It can be found here: Cheers and thanks to 5tuka for the template, Fafnir_6 Edited June 11, 2018 by Fafnir_6
Nil Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 @6./ZG26_5tuka The first picture is interesting! would you mind to make a skin of it? I like Ju52 one color skins! Like Dark Blue, green , grey... Also, can you release the HBHOT (RIP) skin? Thank you! 2
Gruber-H Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 I too am hoping for a RIP HBHOT Skin. So tragic in many many ways.
Zargos Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Great job ! It's nice from you to offer a 4k template to this legendary plane.

So tragic in many many ways. The HB HOT will be released soon with only final touches to be made. I don't want to mess this up in a hurry and reupload it. As for monotone liveries, sure that's no issue. Will try to fit that within my scedule. 2
Nil Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 @6./ZG26_5tuka Thanks you very much! Take your time of course, for the monochrome green skin, a simple standard dark green Luftwaffe would be perfect.
Gruber-H Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 @6./ZG26_5tuka We all appreciate your excellent work, thanks again and no rush

Well I found a small but tad frustrating issue in that all the details (rivets, corrugations, panel lines, etc ) of the starboard (right) vertical fin are all about 3 or 4 of pixels high and so do not align with the details of the port (left) side of the tail fin or indeed with the right rudder, this I found while trying to align some stripes on the fin and rudders. I have tried in (so far unsuccessfully) to try and fix this but just seem to mush it up. Cheers 1
spudkopf Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Took a some of time and a lot of shuffling around of the relevant element layers, but I think I kind of fixed it up enough for my needs. As for those stripes I mentioned, here's a WIP...... Many thanks for the template. 1 1
