Found in Russian forum how to fix this campaign, and it worked, now it's playable:
1. Open mission editor in  <IL-2 install folder>/bin/editor/STEditor.exe

2. In Tools menu, click «Resave All Missions in Folder»

3. Select folder with «ColdWinter» campaign and press OK.

4. Wait for the process to finish

I installed Kursant Engl in the folder: Steam \ steamapps \ common \ il-2 Sturmovik bos \.

I started the game and successfully completed the first task. The second task does not load..appears only to the black screen. I tried to fix it with STEditor and it stopped and reported Error reading Missions: etc. etc... kursant engl \ 06.mission.

Can anyone help?

Guys, as expected, this is getting a bit out of hand here. This is Samsons Cold Winter campaign thread, not the Kursant help thread. ?

If somebody still want the Kursant Campaign, please drop me a line via PM. (Link only. I´ve been busy these days. So I can´t help with install issues)

I just have not enough of me to deal with everything) 
Will try to response on every compliant but terms are "undefined". 
So, second mission in KURSANT campaign. Check now.

PS. By the way I've completely rebuilt 6th mission recently... May be you got old version. I'll check 6th, too.

I've finished 30+ missions in KURSANT campaign so far. And it works just fine. Thanks a lot, very good campaign.

and i was able to re-save COLD WINTER and it started to work, so if you don't have time, don't bother fixing it.

Yes..I did just that, but no effect..I wonder if some antivirus might hurt..very strange

I've checked 2nd and 6th missions. Work just fine.
It's easy to tell the latest version of campaign by 1st mission. It should start with short intro with music. If so, you got latest version of the campaign.

I'll try to provide some translation soon. Without it (especially wirst 15 missions)  are almost senceless.

Hi amazing free content creator!

 

Unfortunately I could download and instal the campaign but when I launch the 1st mission it does not load! ?

 

Any idea? Is it maybe no more compatible with the current version of the game?

can't start it

Have you tried Moscow Sky Campaig? It is half i-16/half MiG-3.
Now it may need to be re-saved with the Editor.

 Thanks to the post of Isa i could solve my problem and had started cold winter already.

 

Moscow Sky isn't in my campaigns folder for now cause of extrem workshift and limited time but i'll give it a try if i have more time ?

Finished this campaign just now, again very nice work @samson!

 

I totally understand that this is an old campaign and you probably don't have time or the motivation to fix things, but the only mission that bothered me a bit was mission 10: Hunting jägers. The mission briefing said that the target(s) is going to be around at 7:00-7:15, but the mission started at 8:05. I flew this twice and never got a glimpse of the supposed targets, maybe due to the wrong start time. There was only a single Flak at the destination (which I destroyed as nothing else to use the bullets on). 

 

All in all this was a great campaign and thank you @Feathered_IV for creating the English translations. They really made a difference! The missions were challenging enough and the fact that you had to land in one piece forced me to re-fly quite a few of them. The briefings after landing and the music were really top notch ideas. Loved them!

About 80% through the campaign. It’s really enjoyable to play and the Mig 3 is a fine fighter. 
great work on the campaign. Really engaging. 
 

Also for people with lower spec’d pcs. I’m playing this on a laptop with gtx960m and able to get 60fps With reasonable settings and 150km horizon distance.

Don't forget to resave all missions in the folder using the editor. (After putting the unzipped campaign in the Campaigns folder)

 Tools -> Resave all missions in folder.

 

It will take a few minutes. In my machine it can take up to 15+ minutes for larger campaigns. Do this every time there's an update.

 

 

EDIT: By the way Samson, the campaign is great. I just wish it was for the I-16 instead 😋. I'll try to convert it to the donkey like FoxbatRu did.

Maybe the player object is grouped, try locating the group and rightclick it and 'set group as working' ?

I checked the first mission, and yes, the Player's aircraft IS grouped but it is hidden within the group named "Mission", which is hidden in the group named "MoscowWinterBaseGroup" - you can find it in the Tree window in the left side of the screen; you must set both groups "as working" - then the Player's plane becomes editable.
