hi,i want to put the full map of il2 battle of stalingrad in my ipad.Can i get it from the game or to download from internet?

If you want the map as a plain image, you can grab it here, but beware it's a giant file so some people have had trouble downloading it. And here's moscow and luki.

Maybe I'll get an ipad for xmas and I can use it as a virtual map. Anyone do that?

I have an old laptop that I use to scroll around the virtual map.

And yes, huge fan here. I was an Auschtauschüler in Bocholt many years ago... accidentally bought a BVB lighter which started an argument with some S04 fans outside a bar and the rest is history  :biggrin:

Hi, i'm looking for high res pics of Lapino and Novokosolniki map with airfields on it...

Does someone have this ?

 

There is only big maps when i find something...

They might exist but those maps are so small people don't need to bother with a map to navigate them.

You can zoom into these maps here, and make a screen print (press PRINT and insert image into a graphic program).

With a second monitor, they are perfect for mission planning, zooming in and out etc.

 

If you still want a map as a JPEG - I made you one. It is here:

But I guess there are only too few airfields om there.

You can get any map textures from the game files (useful if you want the highest quality).

Use unGTP Il-2 utility to extract the files. Then you can see the textures. You’ll find more information on these kinds of things in the ‘Mods’ section of the forum. 

 

Note that turning the tiles into something useful can be tricky.

Great stuff the Il2 Mission Planner!
I saw that the 3 first maps of Il2 are available has simple image (PNG).
Do you know if I could also get the other maps in simple image (Kuban, Rheinland, Arras and Prokhorovka)?


Again, thanks for everything... really help to find the best area for mission creation.
