The don't fly until you can activate them. Enough already. We are still in beta. Instead of complaining, help us find bugs so everyone can have a better final product.

Jason

hahaha!...You heard the man, no more crying!

Great Upgrade, thank you!

Great details!...i.e. Cockpit vibrating at high speed in the Italian fighter is remarkable!...The perspective inside the planes cockpit could fool me for a 3D. I have never seen such beautiful graphics in a Computer game before...Ever!

1 question:

                    How do you access Tanks now?

Hello Devs,these bars are wrong illustrated (too thick) compared with the original Gustaf of the Messerschmitt foundation.

Can you fix this in the near future?

Thx

G-2 had Armored Windscreen as Standard. Just look at it. Those are 60mm of Glass Layers.

The armoured glass option for Gustav is for the rear of the cockpit, front glass is standard and is not removed, only steel headrest can be, as option

What did the units in the field?Was it possible to remove the armored windscreen as a field modification?If they did it should be also possible in the game.

They were thankfull to not get shoot in the face

By the way these threat is usually not for disscussion so maybe a mod can clean this up?

In the photo, the Gustav has a GPS and no gunsight.

Does it mean that in the game, the Gustav should not have a gunsight and a GPS instead?....lol!

G2's bars are fine. The one you are showing is a replica and not close to real ones when it comes to bars.

Better fix the 190's FM..

If there's a source for printing these maps, please share. I would rather use printed maps.

Not true, thats not a replica thats a in spain license-built version of the Me 109 G-2 (Buchon).Rebuilt in the 90`s in a G-4 and now owned by the Messerschmitt foundation.

Oh? Thankx Mastiff!

Will that help with some lags and net-code issues too?

A lot of ppl in my squadron was having this problem recently, and we thought it is because BoS uses an old engine from RoF.

Man, i gatta share this with my squad.

In the game, go and check that the conection setting are right to the user conection. Be carefull, some patch reset that setting, check it after every patch. The default setting is not good for everybody and need to be change to the user conection.

To the dev team :

Hats off for the new update. I finally managed to download it and give it a try, I'm really amazed of what a big step forward this new version is.

The increase in performance with the 64bit version is quite noticeable, the Ju88 is beautifull and so are the skins for all the BoM planes (grinding work in progress !)

What struck me was the moscow map on the beginning of the campaign, it is just gorgeous and the colors are just spot on to what I see IRL when I'm flying in my region.

I love the new weather effects and lighting improvements.

There is still some WiP and some stuffs in need for a fix, but man, that update was a big slap in my face.

Congratulations for all this, keep it coming !

:good:

May we have the map from Moscow please.

I found this info on the Russian forum: download link for Moscow Map in post # 240

In the download links are  the Stalingrad, Moscow and Veliki Luki map.

They are cut up in parts but you can mount them together again in Photoshop and print them in A0 format for instance.

Just like member: FF * MALER * 10   did.

Life is a hassle. Sometimes you just have to upgrade things, that's the way it is.

Freetrack is old, I think more and more games in future won't work with it. Opentrack is developed and getting regular updates.

Other option is to buy TrackIR and get rid of the hassle.

I don't understand your sarcasm and I don't see a point in your replies. I don't want to buy an overpriced product, Period. Fretrack works with:

Il-2 Sturmovik 1946;

Il-2 Cliffs of Dover;

Rise of Flight;

Digital Combat Simulator;

and many other simulator/non-simulator games.

I own and regularly play all of those. I am aware that Freetrack isn't being developed for some time now. But, flexibility and adjustability of a Freetrack software is second to none. And I say that after 30+ years dealing with software and hardware. Being a 32-bit software has absolutely nothing to do with Il-2 BoS or BoM compatibility. I've tried Opentrack, and it's not even remotely as good or adjustable as Freetrack, except in one thing only and that is a stability in zoomed-in view. All my friends and acquaintances gave up on Opentrack after first day of trying. So, yeah, I want support for Freetrack.

There is not sarcasm in my reply. Only facts.

The fact is that Freetrack doesn`t work with BoS/BoM at the moment. It doesn`t matter if it works in million other games you listed. Opentrack does work and works with all those titles you mentioned. And it is as good as Freetrack. AND it is still developed, Freetrack is not. Which means something in the future even if you don`t accept it.

You wan`t support for it, fine with me. I hope it will come some day. Devs only know that.

777 studios is a developer of Rise of Flight also.

Il-2 BoS is based on RoF engine. My post was intended for developers, not you.

As I've posted earlier, Opentrack is not as nearly as good or adjustable as Freetrack. And I claimed my references. And have given arguments for my claims. I want Freetrack supported. It is supported by many games I've been playing and spending my money on for years and I want it supported in Bos and BoM.

This is the Freetrack system I've been using for all these years in all and many more games than those listed above:

http://www.free-track.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=466&message=17224

Find a post by me. I had also built (for free) the same thing for my friends and relatives who are into simulators. Total cost of each was less than 18 Euros or 20 USD (and before posting replies, please take into account that Ive been  using TrackIR for many years also).

I`ve used this http://www.delanengineering.com/shop/ with Ps3 camera and Opentrack for a long time now. Little more expensive than yours but I think it is pretty cheap.

I use same Opentrack profile in every game, easy to use and works great so I am happy. So not going to argue more what is better, in the end it is personal preference.

Most obvious difference atm is that Opentrack works in BoS, Freetrack does not. And devs said the cause is the transition to the 64bit, so it might take a while before there is support for the Freetrack.

DCS is 64-bit for several years now, and Freetrack works.

Until this point, I spent a whole lot more time and money on RoF and DCS than on BoS.

I have no doubt that you're satisfied with Opentrack, Zami. Years of my experience make me leaning towards Freetrack. And I want it supported. Is it that difficult  to put instructions in a dll file? That's up to developers to figure out.

Sorry, Asgar, I overdid my statement, but Freetrack is still better and after so many years, and so many games supporting it, I don't want to change it. Like Windows.

just a thought; I take it our in the mind of; "if ain't broke don''t touch it, right?" well if the world would of stayed flat? change is good and making advancements is a good thing, don't you think?

but I do know that they said its no longer usable because no one codes it no longer, So If I was you, learn the SDK for that; it is open software and you did say you do that sort of thing so take upon your self and fix it?

I have no access to the unlock button mention earlier in BOM. Is this temporary ? and the unlocks I have done in campaign, do they need to be done again when Beta stage is finished?

I like to know, because doing them all is a waist of time, if it all has to be done again

Posted (edited)

If I understood correctly, clicking the unlock button is not reversible. Unlocks from playing during beta will however be reset.

Fairly sure it was said by Dev's that the unlocks will not be reset either in questions or one of the DD''s Do I remember the same was also true of BoS?
