For me this update has been fantabulous. A gamechanger. And not the end.....3 more really cool aircraft to come 110,mig3,ju88. I am glad i supported the preorder and plus will do so again in future if the storyline continues.

Anyone noticed changes in sound?

 

I just upgraded to windows 10, so it could be just me, but I'm using the same external DAC, so I doubt the sound difference comes from W10.

 

The 109 F4 engine sounds much much better now, but the P-40 6x.50 cals soud like an old printer with a paper jam.

 

Overall I prefer this to the previous sounds though.

For anyone who has not got the new maps yet here is a rough cut movie of a quick flight around the SE airstrip in Quick Mission Stalingrad map.

 

Take-off and landing a 109 from off the strip is do-able, at least in the dry weather. Up and down, first try, no breakages. (Just ) 

 

You can all have a laugh at my take off and landing skills - my excuse is that I have not flown a plane that had flaps and retractable gear for months!

Before to send a message to 777 support, try to change setup.cfg file. Change the screen resolution (try 1280x1024 or minus, 800x600, it's only to try to solve your problem), and disable fullscreen and try to start again the simulator. If all goes good, go to hardware inside the simulator and change again the screen resolution to adapt this at your native screen resolution and fullscreen mode again. (some months ago I had a similar problem and I've solved like this, but I don't know if it's your same problem. To try this solution it's free )

 

About the sounds, for me has changed the BF109F4 sound from last update (not the yesterday patch, before this last patch). I don't know if this was changed before, but for me the sounds are different, I don't know if better or not, different.

 

I have not tried the new version yet, maybe I'm the only user in this situation

Well,i've updated my drivers through Steam,restarted my pc,checked "use as admin",nothing!

It just won't go passed the Steam startup,guess I need to reinstall,strange...

Il2 BoS folder...and I think that inside \bin folder...or \game folder, I'm not sure right now.

Use explorer selecting Il2 BoS folder and search this file (setup.cfg).

This happened to me as well.  Might want to select a different LW base after the 1st mission and see if the mission changes.

That's how it's supposed to work. You move it to the first gear setting (not stage 1) when you want to keep it it in first gear.

 

Watercooler in the Stuka doesnt work at all for me... any ideas?

 

Check your key bindings and difficulty settings.
