Just noted that this thread has as many pages as they are days in a year give and take one day.

So I made some quick back of the envelope calculations:

 

The number of posts on this thread stands at 14'560.

This thread has been going on for just over 9 years. We are in the 10th year.

This makes it for rounded 470 weeks up to now.

 

This thread at least for my understanding was initially based as a reminder for the weekly update and comments related to it.

If we consider this the number of average posts per week is 31.

 

There has been a change in recent years about this way of communication from the project management, and so the number of posts per week may have been higher in the past nevertheless the thread stays alive and the average is still very solid.

 

In a few weeks I suppose the number of pages will cross the 365 pages and then we will enter unknown territory 👽

To be honest , and i know that i'm not the only who think about this, this DDs about trains, and trucks and maybe on the next DD will be the North Korean hair cuts for the pilot , are a great disappointment.

I'm sure they'll give us details about the expansion of Odessa and Karelia soon, calm down! Also, this update or updates seem important. The FM of the Tempest will also be tuned and I hope we get more suprises too!
 

And about Korea, you have to understand that there's a lot to show. Little by little, every week. Do you remember when nothing was being said, and there were constant complaints? Some may think that the trucks aren't important... but in my opinion, we need to see the forest, not just the tree.

 

The different truck loads, dozens of combinations, and the new complex damage model for vehicles will bring much more dynamism to ground attacks. Right now, we just have a few truck models, and that's it. A soft targer like a truck with infantry will be delightful for .50 cals. On the opposite, maybe a burst into a gun won't take it out. 

From the images we've seen, looks like trains will also be able to load different things.

 

This allows, with the weapons they carry attached, not only more variety on the ground to attack but also many opportunities for mission creators. Trucks or vehicles that deploy field guns and then redeploy? Can be already done with MCUs, but now will make more sense. Take out the guns and the convoy won't be able to deploy weapons on the frontline. Add this to the new craters and interdirections on the highways and roads. 🙂

You guys have to remember this is the foundation of the improved engine. The "load and dynamic cargo" mechanics might be useful for many thinks, such as landing crafts on the Pacific 😉.
