Exactly! The combination of "guys we have exciting stuff planned we're not allowed to talk about yet but announcements are coming soon" and total radio silence is uniquely frustrating. Add to that occasional "announcements" that contain zero new information. I'm just about at wits end with this.

Disappointed to be sure. But I've got what I've paid for except for a couple of future collectors so, in that regard, I'm good with the sim. Just ambivalent about its future.

I kind of understand them for staying quiet about the next project, but the complete ignorance towards the upcoming planes, they already sold to us, is going to make me cautious about preordering anything from them again. 

  It's been over a year since they charged me for some planes that are not released yet, and they can't even be bothered to update us on the status of the planes we already bought.

 Feels like it's a sign of the things to come from this team.

Buyers confidence. That´s what they are loosing bigtime. Well maybe they don´t need the pre-ordering and early access concept anymore and are fully financed for the next 4 years, who knows? Put on top of that, that their sales and user numbers compared to the big players in the genre are, erm..., on the lower end of the spectrum and that they have a non-existing marketing department. Their future prospect isn´t getting better with every day they stay silent. IMHO, of course.

Exactly. They are pissing away the small bunch of loyal customers. The whole planet is falling on hard times. This is not the time to ignore your customers. It could take many years to get them back.

Aces High III attracts hundreds of players that happily play what they have. The last patch was April 2021. Since then, just skin packs.

 

Don't get a DD in a month here and people freak out, can't keep playing what they have and for some reason have to go play something else because suddenly what they purchased doesn't work or whatever. Too much hand holding needed for some that play this game.

AH is a joke compared to even IL-2 1946 and Warthunder. 

 

Great Battles should be growing and expanding, not going silent and becoming even more of a niche within a niche. That's just bad business and will come back to bite them/us in the butt.

I’m happy.  Last DD was December 28.  Check out the Dec/Jan dd history last year.  Just a thought…

Not sure why you’re laughing KB. They went more than a month without a DD last year.  We survived.

The last developer diary was December the 29th, 2022: click here please (ok, maybe the 28th of December, depending on where in the planet you are). This is less than five weeks. But even it was silence for more than five months, nothing serious would be happening neither. In the "Great Battles" series, content is five WWII aviation modules, one WWI aviation module, one WWII tanks module, 20 collector planes, four collector vehicles, and a dozen of campaigns, either collector of free. So... what's wrong with playing the game and leaving the developers do their job? We are not little children, we don't need to be permanently nursed with news and goodies...

Last year they released a big update on 28th of December, releasing Mustang and campaigns for FC among other things and 31-point description of things that were added to the game. Then they went off to their holidays. New Year to Russian Christmas means that first week of January is pretty much closed in Russia. Then on 21st of January they had a quite long DD about FC2, Normandy and some campaigns and a week later another DD, where they tried actual interaction with customers with a poll.

Way-way-way different level of communication at that time, even if it was already well known to people that they were working on BoN and FC2. Now their potential customers actually have many questions about the direction of the franchise in the future and their communication has been sub-par for months. They can neglect their customers if they want, of course, but if somebody claims that current situation is no different than a year ago, then he is just trolling.

Nobody seems to mind that it is in the "real world" that the situation has dramatically changed.....so communications may have been affected in the same way as currency exchange/restrictions, international trade controls/prohibition, even people moves and travels impeded.

I hope not so,  but some silence is perhaps not so voluntarily long ?
