So Jaws it's not enough for you to constantly hit us with sexy Heidi Stern clips but then you give us Mylène Farmer tempting us with illicit thoughts. Are you twisted?

Let's get things back on a family footing as befits this forum .... with wholesome women and gentlemanly men. Like it used to be in the olden days.

Lol Bonnot It's a paradoxical statement. If everything I wrote was literal where's the fun in that ....

LOL  too,

As I'm growing very old,  it's life which appears more and more paradoxical.....as this  Symphony Orchestra on one of the most Ironic/ Iconic (?) western  !

I think the Fun is watching around 60 years later and watching how this world changes .....or not ?

...and laughing about  together   :drinks:

Sticking to the German theme here's Lotte Lenya singing "Mack the Knife". You may also remember her as the Bond villain Rosa Klebb in the film "From Russia with Love".

A better song in English than German. The most recorded song of the 20th century; I have probably 20-30 versions of it, from The Grateful Dead to The Doors, from The Brian Setzer Orchestra to the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald.

Motorhead 1916 :

Always sad but useful to remember.....

Thanks a lot, really incomparable Ella .........I think, that from all the records I purchased, my dearest -and one of the oldest- is the Ella and Louis I proposed here some weeks ago .... they were both at the top (1958 ?) and probably never again recorded such perfection  !

Written by Rudy Clark in the early sixties and made famous by my favourite Beatle in the 1980s with his cover, Mr George Harrison.

The original release is very special in my opinion with its quirky arrangements and backing vocals. It really doesn't deserve to live in the shadow of Harrison's version IMO.

James Ray - Got My Mind Set On You (1962)

Perhaps something to accompany a nice smoke and brandy this fine Friday afternoon?

Costeau - The Last Good Day Of The Year (1999)

Former bassist with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Barry Adamson produced some interesting music over the years across a number of genres.

This one, among others of his features on the "Lost highway" soundtrack, a film by David Lynch.

I haven't looked into it but it seems to sample "Spooky" but I could be wrong...anyway, a nice vibe with some warm synths and tight beats.

Barry Adamson - Something Wicked Comes This Way (1996)

An interesting collection once again @itsbillyfrazier and also @Jaws2002 although I was hoping for more Italian pop smashes from the 80's but not Umberto Tozzi.
