Deactivating Radar Cycle In Fmb?

Recommended Posts

I know this doesnt belong to this section,...actually, as I do not want to discuss about the feature.

However I would like to ask if anyone was able to decativate the radar cycle around the airfield either by an editor option (I hoped it would be any spotter radius) or by a dedicated server settings. But so far I was unlucky. Anyone of you with better luck in here?

Aborted Man posted in this thread the following.

I've moved objectives away from airfields to mitigate the use and annoyance of the radar.

I experimented with that aswell, however I wasnt able to get rid of the radar circle.

Is anyone in contact to him, so maybe he can mention what he changed?

I always thought the fakeairfield or fakeairfiel_respawn is the object being resonsible for the radar.

No matter of its radius nor of entity characterized objects around it.

But I would be glad for being proven wrong in this case.

The airfield object that allows respawn is what provides radar, there's no way that I know of to turn it off. That note you quoted just meant that I moved spawnable airfields (that were right on top of the mission objectives) away from the objective areas so people weren't always focusing their efforts inside radar range.

I see, thx for clarify.

Ashame my hopes were grounded that fast.

The radar is a real spoiler, in my humble opinion.

Well what comes around goes around....hopefully.
