[TWB]Pand Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Our server was working earlier today, but now we're getting: File Transfer Error #10017. Ports Confirmed Open, everything looks good from the DSERVER side, Mission Started and connected.
[TWB]Pand Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Trying to troubleshoot this issue, where are the logs on the server stored?
[TWB]Pand Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Think we're all set, thanks. For reference, if anyone else runs into it, was based off the .list file automatically pulling off the compiled location rather than the default one. Updated the locations in the .list and issue resolved.
FortuneFlies Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Hey Pand,We're getting this same error on our server.Could you go a bit more in-depth on how to resolve this issue? Edit: At least for us, the locations he was referring to were the file locations in the .list file. They were incorrect. Edited March 5, 2015 by [CBB]Mmmslash

Edit: At least for us, the locations he was referring to were the file locations in the .list file. They were incorrect. To be precise, the locations in the .list file when the client downloaded the mission file were listed as "multiplayer/cooperative/[mission name]" and should be "multiplayer/[whatever directory the mission is actually in]/[mission name]"

Thad Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Our server was working earlier today, but now we're getting: File Transfer Error #10017. Ports Confirmed Open, everything looks good from the DSERVER side, Mission Started and connected. Experiencing the exact same scenario.
JimTM Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Experiencing the exact same scenario. From pg. 184 of the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Manual: Error Message "File Transfer Error #10017" Make sure the mission is saved in the correct folder on the DServer PC. The .list file for the mission shows the correct folder to save the mission in on the DServer PC.
54th_ZeppiO Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Hello! I am having this same problem as a client / user flying usually in the OFFICIAL Normal Planes and Tanks by DED server. Is this an issue that needs to be resolved within my game / computer or is it to do with the host server. Thank you.

I don't understand what we are exactly supposed to do.
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted January 14, 2018 1CGS Posted January 14, 2018 pls delete all files ftom folder \il2-folder\data\multiplayer\dogfight\ and reconnect to server
Poupichoups Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 pls delete all files ftom folder \il2-folder\data\multiplayer\dogfight\ and reconnect to server Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately it still doesn't work... any idea ?
DeadMeat0383 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately it still doesn't work... any idea ? This issue is server side, there are a number of files associated with each mission, one of those is a file with the extension .list This list file tells the server where to look for the localisation files for the mission, if it is not correct then it will give users that error when they try connect. The server owner needs to either open up the mission from the folder on the server and save it, or they need to manually edit the .list file to point it to the correct file locations.
54th_ZeppiO Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 So this is totally on the server's side of the fence. The problem still persists for the EU Official 1CGS Server Planes and Tanks Normal by DED server. How do you communicate with this particular hosting party to see how this can be rectified. It only happens on some maps.

Solmyr Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 (edited) So I spoke a bit too fast : I was able to load the mission, but then there was only one spawn point (german) that was said "full", unable to actually play. So this is totally on the server's side of the fence. The problem still persists for the EU Official 1CGS Server Planes and Tanks Normal by DED server. How do you communicate with this particular hosting party to see how this can be rectified. It only happens on some maps. Yes. I experience this regularly since a moment and is quite annoying. Then when it changes the map we can get in to it back again. Edited February 7, 2018 by Solmyr
Solmyr Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) The problem still is there. No input from the dev from what I know. Should we post about it in the "Bug" section ? Edited February 22, 2018 by Solmyr
Solmyr Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 The problem still persists for the EU Official 1CGS Server Planes and Tanks Normal by DED server. It looks to me that the map following Kuban one is faulty.
Barnacles Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 We're getting this #10017 error on our server, everone who runs the game on Steam cannot connect, but if they don't thave the game through Steam, they can.

This error is directly related to the .list file contents. What I would suggest is that you open the mission file in the editor from its location on the server, save the mission, rename or delete the .mission file afterwards to speed up joining and it should be resolved.
shrubbo Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Just in case this helps someone I was having the same problem and came across this thread. In this case it was the Burning_Steppe mission (awesome btw). I checked the list file and it was as follows... filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.chs","7b5d68e9" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.eng","1334fd61" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.fra","c9877fa1" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.ger","00f1226d" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.pol","59d3da60" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.rus","4a0fb870" filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.spa","35358fc4"filename="multiplayer/dogfight/burning_steppe.zip","6c8df1fd" The last entry caught my eye as I had unzipped the mission files into the correct folder and it played fine for me but nobody could connect without the 10017 error. I put the original zip file into the same folder and that fixed it. I don't know if I missed something in the instructions or what but this was a helpful thread and I hope I just added to it a bit.

I was having the same issue, in fact with Burning Steppe as well. Working now. Thanks for the pointer! 1
