But it's a different aircraft, isn't it? I find it unlikely, so I followed the profile I had.

but I am sorry that it's a G6 instead of G2. moreover the spinner rotation blur effect is going to be a big challenge, similar to this one http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13721-bf-109-g2-skins/?p=264274

and this one http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13721-bf-109-g2-skins/?p=270013

Hi fellow pilots. The seeman skin is very interesting http://www.modelwork.pl/viewtopic.php?t=20698

Unfortunately my research material is limited to the www but it maybe likely that at that time there was other 7 jg53 bf109's also with different cartoons.

See this link:

http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234979015-jg-53-bf-109g-6-cartoon-aircraft/

I found reference to this on at least 3 websites so there must be some substance to this.

Can anybody with more info perhaps help and confirm this.

Kind regards.

"White 12"  from 7./ JG52. This skin maybe not 100% historical but inspired by historical skins.

Try shape layer and guides to align knods. And switch "ON" a "Wireframe" layer. You should put knods on edges of wiframe:

Hi Samson,

Thank you for the advice.

I was using a very similar method but the result was not what I was expecting.

In particular, due to the conic shape of the sipner, the distorsion is more important at the end that at the begining.

But this is matter of patience ... I guess I'll have to make many tries !

Hello,

Some news of the "seeman" BF109G6 I've started some weeks ago. The painitng is finished, I've just started the weathering and paint chipping.

You'll notice that the spiner is not exactly the same as the one on the profile. The point is that I didn't succeeded in making a decent spiral like the actual one. So I decided to borrow the spiner by Leaf. I know it is not 100% historical but in this matter I prefer a nice false spiner than an uggly right one !

Here is the "seeman" in its current aspect (no weathering, uncomplete paint chipping, alpha layer to be corrected) :

nice skin Zargo, the spinner here is the final one, no blur treatment? current one is too much flashing in the game. it is not realistic and urgly.

Looking good as it stands for me Zargos

Glad the spinners were of some use, although I know nothing about skinning I had a bad feeling about the the very fine pitch on the original spiral.

I agree with your reasons and sentiments entirely, looking forward to taking it up for a spin ;o)

This is your point of view !

Mine is that your motion blur on the spiner is not realistic too.

I'm not sure that a simple blur effect on the original spiral shall render the realistic effect of an actual rotating spiral. What I saw in movies of real Bf109 is much more complicated. To be simple the motion effect gives the impression that sevral and smaller spirals are superimposed. I think this effect shall be very difficult to render in the game.

And when you paused the movie (like a screenshot) the spiral appears without any blur effect.

I dont know what is the FPS setting you are using, I am using 120+. you will see the horrible effect I am talking about when the game is runing at this setting. lower than this rate maybe ok.  Actullay I think you will see the effect of "you described sevral and smaller spirals are superimposed" when you are using the blur effect sprial spinner with game running at 120 FPS or higher. This whole thing is like a trad-off. maybe non-blur is good for you to make a screen shot. But the point is when you play this game how long you are going to spend on pausing the game? on the other hand why we have 2 textures for spinner in each dds file, 1 is for static effect another is for dynamic effect? btw dont worry, each people post in this forum can only prensent his/her own opinion.

I play at 60 fps max so we way not see the same thing.

A short video will be very useful to understand what you see in your game.

I know there is 2 textures for the spinner. For the dynamic one I use a blur filter in the same maner as yours but lighter.
