Hi all;

I just port and slightly change the Gruppe Stab II/JG52(April 1945) Skin from my BF109F4 to this G2, changing the number and the propeller color. Note that the original paint scheme is from a K14. Markings on the wings are low visibility ones.

Nice skin Spektre as always, can't wait to start repainting the 110E in the BOM add on, love that aeroplane, also the 109E7 should have plenty of schemes to do as well, not forgetting the Ju-88 of course.

I can't wait either!

Wow Iceman, beautiful job as always, I really like this one as I've been looking to doing some F4 or G2 skins but there are so many to choose from not sure where to start.

Hello there fellow pilots,

I would like the inform you guys that I have made a large update involving all my skins.

Head over to my museum to find out more about it and how to implement the update.

It is important everyone does this due to changed file names.

BF109G4/R6 White 2 of 7./JG52 flown by Erich Hartmann. When Erich Hartmann went home to Germany in May 1943, his white 2 was flown by Uffz. Herbert Meissler. Meissler was flying this aircraft on a mission over the Kuban bridgehead on 28 May was bounced by a LaGG-3 and forced landed in soviet territory.

Good skin. Not a bear, however : it is the Lion of Aspern (der Löwe von Aspern), a monument commemorating the Battle of Essling-Aspern near Vienna in 1809 ;)

Hello Pierre, Thank you for the clarification. :)

This JG54 white2 was already included into the official skin package. I redo it because I think that the dark yellow portion should be lighter than office skin and the roaring bear's head on the port side of the fuselage should face to the front according to the historical photo.

Actually it should be right side of the fuselage instead of port side. sorry for the mistake, on the other hand, this is a wierd forum, thread is unable to be edit after post few minutes.

Brother, the shield was white during this battle for II./JG54. It did not go to yellow until they got the Focke-Wulf 190. :salute:

Hi Buddy, this is interesting information, I made it base on the profile presented in "Kagreo-Monografie 22 Bf109 G-K". If your information can be confirmed I am willing to change it to white

That is the only picture currently I can find for this aircraft which is presented in the book "Black Cross and Red Star Vol3". As you can see it's indicated as yellow 2 instead of white 2. Can we judge the badge color from this picture?

I have tried creating skins but to be honest I'm not that good and bow to the superior skills of the guys on this tread.

IV./JG5_Rook's skins are just great but his link to post #138 is no longer working :(

I was just wondering if anyone has skinned any more JG5 aircraft?

Regards

Thanks for the heads up Chandalier, it is indeed a great skin. It's a shame that Rook's #138 is no longer working though.

Cheers

Chield was white.

It is 6./JG54 aircraft, and "2" is RLM04 Yellow. Also, green heart is not in "grass green" :)
