Well done!

I especially like the oily hands - nice detail.

I also added a little grubbiness around where you open the canopy, and some muddy boot marks on the area where he steps off the wing : ) 

 

You can't see it in the picture, though!

Hi !

I've finished the complete serie of the 7./JG53 planes (in the real life the planes were G-6 and not G-2) with their cartoony "pik as" in the maner of Alice in wonderland. This time the update includes 4 new wkins : n° 5, 6, 7  & 8 :

By the way and to be completley honnest I must confess that for this serie I didn't totally respect the ZSF rule : never make two skins with excatly he same weathering and paint chipping.

But the were a lot of plane to make and it would have been too long to make a specific weathering pattern for each one.

So :

  1. All the paint scheme are the same although the dot pattern should have changed from one plane to another since dot were hand painted.
  2. The weathering is excatly the same for all planes of the serie
  3. The paint chipping is different for each plane (execpt for N°5 and N°8) but each one came from former skins of BF109G and BF109F. Nevertheless I've modified each paint chipping patern.

Now you know all about this serie.

Coming soon: A historical Finnish Air Forge G-2 skinpack including over 30 Lentorykmentti 3 (Flight Regiment 3) skins!

Our Finnish Virtual Pilots association members are now using them on Multiplayer and I am working with the details now. Before releasing I am going to update all the skins with the individual weathering effects and also made more variants to the camouflage. 16 of those "Mersus" were brand new from the same factory on March 1943 when they arrived to Finland. So they are going to e very much similar each other, for ex. wing camo's. The rest of our total 48 Bf 109 were factory repaired aircrafts and there were more variants, for ex. the fuselages of the MT-222 and MT-225 were painted completely flat with the RLM 74 as in the lower picture.

Now I have used (very nice) Bf 109 G-2 official template's default weathering effects because my Finnish LeR3-regiment friends wanted these skins as soon as possible! ;)

Luukkanen's MT-201 is in this Skinpack, it has all the first Finnish Messers from MT-201 to MT-231.

Panzerbar: Thank you for those pictures, specially that upper wing picture is good, because I don't have very good reference material of the wings. I have couple of books but there are ANY good photo of the Mersu's upper surfaces. If you have more of pictures of Finnish Bf 109's, please let me know! :)

I am going to use that wing camo as one variant!

Well, some of G-2's were not new, but transferred from Luftwaffe units, so there could be different camouflage before applying Finnish marks.

POST #393 Hermann Graf, Bf-109G-2 is re-reconstruction. I cannot believe I missed such a big error. The error is the new corrected camo. If you look at the spine of the plane above the Balkenkreuz you'll see that the camo pattern doesn't come on to the port side. The demarcation line should intersect the top of the Gelbe Eins. I am so sorry to all 92 of you who downloaded this. I will update this mistake TODAY!
