VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I must say I am not a big fan of limiting the number of aircraft. This is in place elsewhere. I have seen new comers and squads eat up large amounts of the same type of plane at an airfield just having problems on takeoff. It will also be a greater incentive to vulch, which is bad enough already. Then there are the people who could care less about coming back after a mission. Add to this the CTDs that occur and aircraft will dwindle quickly even without combat losses. If you do move ahead with implementing restricting the number of planes please allow for an airfield to come back to full strength, either after a short period of time or through a resupply mission. There is also the option of having one base that is not limited.

Thanks for your effort,guys!!! Trains hasn't icons. Only on-screen message when you find it, and title on map, when you destroyed it. Trains spawned after 10 min after destroying. Convoys has both icons and on-screen message.

So apologies if I asked before:) Are you working on refuel and rearm functionality? Also. What exactly is random on your server each map? Airfields, frontlines, groundtargets? They all spawn at totally random locations each round? I ask because i had it that once in 2 diffrent round the targets were practically at the same location like the round before. Couple of questions: Really enjoying the navigation task again. Are there nav instruments that are now, or will be, working in the missions? Do you think the stats will add a "Tanker Ranking" tab, etc. for similar info to pilots? Both are enjoyable at different times for various reasons. Obviously a death in one should not affect the career in the other. Wish there was also a distinction separating fighter and bomber careers. Can't wait to see the effect of the next update of features on map icons, "radar", etc. on your server. Cheers! 1

VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I flew a couple of sorties today. Love the way the new AF icons work and the no radar. One suggestion though. I was trying to fly a CAP around one of the friendly targets. As I flew a box around the target keeping it in sight, I was told TURN AROUND as the "border" was so close to the target (or the target so close to the "border"). As a result I had to fly a bar CAP instead. Not what I preferred. I then starting mixing it up with an enemy fighter and every 5 seconds I was getting a TURN AROUND message. Obviously, this was distracting and ruined the immersion. I am sure the other guy was getting the messages as well. Having these "borders" so close to targets is also a problem with level bombing. Sometimes you want to approach the target either directly into or with the wind. In certain instances the invisible "border" makes this impossible. You also want to have plenty of time after turning on final approach to a target to finalize all input data and reacquire the target. One convoy target spotted was actually right on the "border", Not sure how one would attack it without getting multiple warnings. I can sort of understand having "borders" if one gets totally lost it sort of lets them know to turn around. IMHO, IF there has to be a "border" it should be at least 50km (5 large map squares) away from any target. Russia was a big place and we have a beautiful large map. Please give us room to maneuver, fight, run, climb to altitude, make bomb runs, plan sneak approaches. Just my thoughts on making your server even better. Cheers! 1

Each player has a limit of 3 aircraft (the type and country do not matter). Every time you lose an aircraft in the air you will see a chat message in the server displaying the number of aircraft you have left in storage. The limit is only valid for one mission - as the next mission starts, you will have three aircraft left again. How to refill the stock of aircraft? Simply take an aircraft marked as Supply and transport it to any active airfield. Upon a successful landing, the aircraft will be resupplied. As this is a test, initially the Heinkel and Peshka (He-111 and Pe-2) will be available as supply aircraft. Once we remove the rough edges the fleet of supply aircraft will be expanded. A supply bomber brings two additional aircraft kits to your storage, while attack and fighter aircraft bring one kit. While the weapons selection will not be locked for the supply aircraft, we count on your integrity for now, and later on there will be a built-in monitor which will make sure hooligans and punks do not misuse supply aircraft without punishment. IMPORTANT: If you run out of aircraft, you may only continue flying on supply aircraft or driving tanks; otherwise, the server will kick you to the lobby! P.s. Since they are "supply" why not lock their loadout, leaving only MG's - or better without ammo for MG's, a "DC-3".

I try test the"emotion" of the idea a few moments, but lost connection... It is possible to add the radar function to some airflields? Yesterday i was shot down in my he111 after the starts. Instead the "arcade" RADAR/GPS/AWACS, the new "field observers" is more useful for you, see in the map picture. If the circle around base are blue no enemy near, if are red enemy is near - based on his intensity you may choose spawn there or not. And better, the enemy don't see you plane icon on base (like in the dumb previous option), so he need challenge the FLAK to discover if are target for"vulching" on runway. After the death - wait 60 sec, after coalition change - wait 60 sec, respawn - wait 45 sec, mission completion in 1 sec. This time need for the system, to calculate the balance of the player planes. 1

Problem is that german flak shoots to the ground and not on the enemy. Also the flak doenst shoot at all if the attacker is a little further away than spitting distance. Right now the only thing this red indicator tells you is "dont start at all since you will be smoked it you do". Flak is useless. Dont get me wrong. I dont necessarily need radar. But at least some sort of direction and range indication on where the attacker is relative to the airfield. In CLOD there is radiomessages telling you the height, location and heading of the spottted aircraft. We need something like that. IRL spotters would see the attacker at very long distance and tell the pilots so the dont fly straight into their fangs.

They shot me down from 3000m 2 times, flying unexpected paths. I have also seen some yaks lurking our aerodrome and being shot down at low alt but after maybe 1-2 minutes. I never last that long! Yesterday I fly some IL-2 sorties against a bridge, arriving at 2.000 meters altitude, and the FLAK - that I presume German - shoot me down 2 times in dive... Arriving at low altitude generally end with FLAK seem me before I see the target. What people want, a 99% effective FLAK like in Early Access firsts days? Right now the only thing this red indicator tells you is "dont start at all since you will be smoked it you do". This is not called "fog of war"? But as people is used to "AWACS/GPS/RADAR", is understandable... WT is that is right! "Safety" measure against be shoot in parachute: Stay in the plane, no matter if are wingless or in fire.
