Sturmgeschultz Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 During flight recordings if you switch to another aircraft and view the attached cameras the engine audio is dropped and only the sound of air/wind is heard.

Nothing changed, also reinstalled the driver and tried onboard soundcard. Same result. I use BF110 E2 with flyby F3 view as benchmark. There I can hear it the most.

However, the DPC Latency value seem rather high. I tried something out of the box and deactivated soundblaster instead. Latency dropped to around 1000us. Tried onboard sound, but still no change. I look further into that.. Edited February 3, 2023 by FTC_Zero

=IRFC=Eccho Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) I cannot hear the gunfire of other A/C. It is only certain aircraft such as the Fokker D.VII, Sopwith Dolphin, and Nieuport 28. I am on the standalone client. Is there any way to fix such an issue? Edited February 9, 2023 by =IRFC=Echo-

Resulting with an auditory dead zone for this engine type. Detailed description, conditions: In submitted track we can quickly throttle up from 10% to 80% with no real discernable auditory difference for the Sopwith Dolphin and the SPAD, both with V-8 Hispano-Suiza 8Bb engines of 200hp and 220hp respectively. Resulting with an auditory dead zone for this engine type. C6jchuillier Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Hello, I want to play with a VR headset but have the sound NOT coming out of the VR headset. Is there a way to force the game to play the sound through this or that output and NOT the VR ? I've forced the sound to go through my "ampli" sound output in windows (10) while the game is running, I've mapped the game in the windows sound propeties to go through this output but it keeps on playing through the headset. Thanks for the help
Kubert Posted October 17 Posted October 17 (edited) Hello. Are there some magic video settings which can remove stuttering? In mid august I bought a new PC (AMD Radeon 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 32Gb RAM, SSD) played scripted campaigns Ice Ring, Sea Dragons and Blazing Steppe without a problem but then, in Steel Birds and Sky Nomads I started to have stutter above Krymskaya when too many AIs are in the area. I had the same issue with old PC...then it was outdated hardware, but now, there is no way it's hardware issue. After some tinkering with settings I ended up with this: It is slightly better, but with current hardware I would expect smooth performance. My target should be 120fps at 2560x1440 resolution with TrackIR, only flat screen(120Hz)...not VR. I am using only one monitor and no applications on the background, only TrackIR is running with the game. I have also active Vsync, Triple Buffering and lock at 118 fps in drivers. Lock 1-2 fps under monitor refresh rate usually removes stutter in other games when it appears, but IL looks immune to that. I also tried only in game limiter, only 120fps limit in drivers, or no limiter at all...nothing seems to help. Any ideas? I spent few hours trying various combinations. Did someone play those campaigns without stutter? And at what settings? Or am I delusional to expect 120fps at 2k resolution? Because fps are not dropping, it just s-s-s-stutters...so I think I am not. Edited October 17 by Kubert
Kubert Posted October 18 Posted October 18 (edited) So, after reading know-how on the internet and some testing. This looks like the most stutter free setting: Combined with 90fps lock in drivers, turned off Vsync and active Gsync on monitor it reduces stutter a lot for me. It's still there, but I don't care anymore. Maybe this information helps someone in the future. Edited October 19 by Kubert
