39bn_pavig Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Brief description: Unstable framerate on AMD6900m Detailed description, conditions:Regardless of graphics settings in game framerates are unstable using the AMD 6900M under windows 8.1. Though game runs at 45-65 fps display microstutters - ie speeds up and slows down every second, as if it was drawing several frames ahead then showing them quickly in succession rather than displaying them at a constant fps. Locking framerate at 30fps helps a little, but only by making these microstutters more regular producing smaller jumps. Vsync does not help and introduces additiona (tradtional low framerate) stutter. Locking game at 30fps in game, then turning on "dynamic framerate control" capped at 30fps under RadeonPro 1.1.1.0 seems to mostly fix the problem. Yours_truly_Ace Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I don't hear my plane is getting shot at in multiplayer. Suddenly I can just look behind me and I see I am venting and have bullet holes in canopy and wings. You should hear loud nosies when your plane is being hit by bullets. Before I remember I also heard enemy machine gun / cannon fire when they were really close (like 100 meters and closer), now I don't hear anything.
VBF-12_Snake9 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Brief description: surround sound problem, not hearing hits on plane Detailed description, conditions: Alright now for the breakthrough. I hope. Been doing a lot of testing with my track I recorded. I ran the track with 7.1 surround, and no hit sounds. 5.1 surround, and no hit sounds quadraphonic, and no hit sounds Now stereo, and . . . . and . . . BAM, BAM, BAM. There they are. Clear and loud. Tested everything once more to make sure and I was correct. I only hear the hit sounds when in stereo. So I started thinking why would this be the case. So I went back to 7.1 surround and played around a bit, because stereo sound just sounds awful you know. What I found out is interesting. If I watch the track and do not unlink my head movements I cannot not hear any hit sounds, because my head is facing forward. Now if I unlink my head movements and look behind at my back wing or rear, I can hear the hit sounds. They are clear and loud. So then I went in my sound software and adjusted my room correction settings. I turned my front speakers all the way down, and jacked up my rear-side speakers all the way up. Then I tested the track again. Now while facing forward I can hear the rear hit sounds. (makes the game sound awful so this is not a option) So what do I think is going on? Clearly in my track I get hit in the engine, which should put the sound of the hit right in front of my face. But this is not happening. The sound bubble is getting left behind the plane. So the only way I can hear myself being hit is to look in the direction of the sound bubble. That is most of the time behind the plane. So how to solve the problem? Play with stereo sound. uhhhh. Not a option. Play with my room correction settings all screwed up. uhhhh. Not a option. Always look behind me when I think I'm being hit. lol Not a option. I don't know. The coding needs to placed so hit sounds always. . . always. . . always are played out the front speakers, or played out of all speakers in surround sound. Until this gets solved I guess I will continue to not hear hit sounds, cause in my opinion that is better than playing the game in stereo. Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): I have attached the track Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): Realtek HD Audio Driver Version - 6.0.1.6657 Directx Version - Dx 11 Audio Controller - HD Audio Audio Codec - ALC898 New folder.zip 1

avlSteve Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Brief description: Annoyance with work around. Black screen requiring task manager to halt IL2.Detailed description, conditions: On bombing mission, the mission begins paused. Before unpausing, switching to the bomb site causes black screen. Unpausing causes sounds only, but black screen remains, even when switching out of the bomb site mode. This is repeatable in the He-111, and I THINK the Pe-2 is the same way. Only occurs at mission start, switching to bombsite mode before unpausing the game.Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs):Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): AMD 8 core, 16 GB ram, Radeon R9 290 Edited November 13, 2014 by avlSteve

Shadowdeath Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Brief description: Vertical synchronization litimits fps to 30 instead of 60 in some cases. If I turn v-sync off, the problem is gone, but I get screen tearing instead, so its not the right solution Looks like there is a similar problem - http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/12062-low-fps-after-update-low-gpu-usage/ Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): GPU run only at 50%, game limit self to 30 FPS, view is 50/50 cockpit/sky: GPU is on 92%, game running normal, almost none cockpit in view: Graphics settings: Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): i5 2500K @ 4Ghz, 8 GB RAM, MSI GTX 770, SSD Samsung 840 Pro, OS Windows 7, running latest nvidia drivers 344.75 (default settings in control panel)
stek85 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hello, my bug/problem is not that critical but it would be nice to fix this in future release. Every time i start the game by opening a new instant of IL2 launcher the game starts in window mode. Even if i check/uncheck the full screen setting the game will start in window mode. The graphic settings switch to high settings by itself and the cinematic camera view is checked every time (this may be a problem due to the resolution change in window mode). I have to set the settings to balanced and restart the game. My password for user login is also never remembered after a new start up from the launcher. Nobody mentioned such a problem before... My system: Win7 pro, AMD Phenom CPU, ATI R9 285
F/JG300_Gruber Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Brief description : BK37 fire sound stuck in loop Detailed description : Hard to reproduce but I crashed my plane on the ground, losing a wing and it's gun in the process. I wanted to fire the remaining rounds (of my remaining gun) before exiting and two things happened : first it still clearly sounded as if 2 guns when firing (This might be normal if there is only one sound recorded for this), and second the sound got stuck in an endless loop as one gun ran out of ammo and the other didn't. Pressing the trigger again didn't stopped it.
Retnek Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Brief description: Me 110 sounds like stalling as soon as you pull upDetailed description, conditions: I very much like the feature to get a rising, typical sound-feedback, when the plane is nearing a stall. It's a good replacement for any kind of force-feed-back. But with the Me 110 one gets that typical "beginning-stall"-sound as soon as one moves the plane upwards, long before there's any aerodynamic reason for this. Could you please change that acoustic misbehaviour, so one can hear the 110 stall according to the other planes?Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): no need, just take a 110 up Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): BoS 1.106, medium hardware, standard Win7-64bit with NVidia

SqwkHappy Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Brief description: 25fps drop while in cockpit looking out left or right side of plane on any runway.Detailed description, conditions: Every single time I'm on the runway ready to takeoff, if I look out the cockpit to the left or right and slightly behind (grass in view, exhaust in view and most of wing in view) my FPS drops from 55fps to 30fps even. In external view I can repeat the drop in some places, but it is hard to know why.. I can have external view with lots of grass, many buildings, and entire plane engine running in view and it runs normal without such a significant fps drop. It seems to occur when the camera is close to the ground with grass in view, but not when the camera is distant from visible grass. The plane I'm using is BF109-F4. =FI=Blue2 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Pupo, are you sure it's not just low volume? Because when I do this, I first hear the shot, then after that comes the sound of the cannon mechanism rotating and reloading the gun with the next round. Try increasing volume & see if you really hear 2 shots, because this works fine for me. Cheers! 1

Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): unfortunately I have no video proof but my friend can confirm) Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): I've added a Dxdiag, also my CPU is overclocked at 4.1 GHZ DxDiag.txt Edited April 8, 2018 by Hauggy
