I've had Normandy since I preordered it in 2019 and have flown there many times. Now today after the update I go to fly the new Spit there and get this error. I then tried other planes there, both D Day and Autumn versions, same error. I tried the Spit on other maps, no trouble. I tried the Ar234 and Mossie on other maps, no trouble.

 

So suddenly for no reason Normandy the map just isn't working for me even though the planes from it are.

If  you look at the update discussion thread  you will see a few of us have the same problem with  using the BoN maps. Looks like Wardog is on it so hopefully we will get a hot fix soon.

I had this too, I exited and re-started and Normany loaded fine.

Same, I can't load the normandy map but i can fly the planes. very strange.

 

 

edit: did was @No_85_Gramps did and it works now. still very strange.

I quit and restarted it multiple times when I was writing this as I tried different things, quit, wrote it, thought of another test, went back in, and so on.

 

However, 3 hrs later I've tried it again and now it's working again. No idea what occurred.

hello, when i boot up the game not via steam i cant access my steam purchased content. i want to use open composite and for that i need to be able to boot the game without steamvr. (i can boot up regularly and then restart it with the vr option enabled but the loading time is long and i need to type my password again which is cumbersome in vr)

You can only access your Steam purchased content if you also boot from Steam.

 

However, you can run OpenComposite just fine while starting from Steam. What I do (I use a Quest 2; it may work differently with other HMDs) is boot up my Quest, start Oculus Link, and then either start IL2 from within the Oculus environment or go to Steam on my PC and then Play -> Launch VR in Steam VR mode. If you properly configured OpenComposite using the OpenComposite Runtime Switcher, even though Steam tells you it uses SteamVR it actually uses OpenComposite.

when you do that does it still boot up steamVR with its menus or take you straight to the game?

The latter option (starting from Steam) does still boot SteamVR (the dark world with distant mountains) but the VR runtime it uses is OpenComposite. I can tell because both have slightly different glitches :P

 

Starting from the Oculus environment goes straight to the game.

As of today, I lost access to all the content i bought from steam.
Unlike yesterday (where i had no issues) i had to log in, I log in and get greeted with only having to boddenplate that i bought from the IL2 site during a sale.
Here is the list of item i lost access to from steam :

I contacted support but they closed my ticket after telling me that "planes are tied to their historical map", which isn't true in quick battles, and i sent screenshots showing the game and dlc i bought weren't active in the main menu. Here are the screenshot i sent.

Please help me, i think the support or at least the current person handling my ticket has no idea of what he is speaking about. I can't access the content i bought from steam and the person keeps rambling about how planes are historically tied to maps (untrue) or that games are exclusive to eachother (untrue again). I keep explaining clearly my issue and sending screenshot but it's like speaking to a wall.

I have the same problem. I buyed on a 19th of September Battle of Moscow on the shop of this side, till today it isntto find on a game. I got also this information

"License Key is not activated"

Sorry I got this: "This key is allready activated". But I didnt get it on my game.

Hello

 

I have lost all content avaibility with today's update (Version 5.507). It was working about  fine just before update. I have purchased all GB maps + a ton of premium content over the years with Steam. Even the base stalingrad is missing... I can't even go in Quick Mission mode. Can you please support?

Same here. I needed to log in again after the update and ever since, the content I bought from Steam is locked:

I bought BoS, BoM, BoK and FC1 on Steam and they don't show up anymore. Of course, I started the game from within Steam.

I confirm it happened here to.

Steam and IL-2 Account got unlinked. 

It asks me to put my e-mail again to log within the Il-2 Account. Thing i won't do just in case.

Same here. I'm unable to play after todays update. Does anybody have a solution? Is it a steam issue?

Good evening as the title says i cant see my dlc content after the patch. I am a steam user and i can see the content i purchaced but in game there is none.. also i noticed

that the games asked for email and password i dont remember asking for those in the past.. any help will be appreaciated thank you in advance!

Yes same here , booted up the game normally,  except  an Il2 login came up so I used my forum password and the game loaded , well not most of it . Only two modules out of eight ? loaded and I could load games but was a spectator only . So I tried jumping into a mates tank as a gunner , I died instantly and he permanently lost his gunner .

Is it deployed already? I booted up my gaming PC (the previous attempt was on my laptop), updated IL2 and everything worked, no issues whatsoever anymore.
