Yakdriver Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 LOLIl-2 Political correctness is back again.I like that, brings back Memories.More!
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Well personally I regret swastikas so I originally made the circle- roudel version for myself only. I eventually decided to upload a version with swastikas as I know many favour this part of historically correctness (and because it had a totally different meaning than the one use dby the germans). Don't know if I'll do more finnish skins in future. Got some other stuff to work on first. 1

Yakdriver Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Indeed, indeed. Keep the Brushes wet and active! The plane was captured by advancing Wehrmacht troops. It carried the Kremlin style Red star on the fuselage. I chose to go with greenish colors instead, and adopt two tones of red for the Star. http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/377/1/4 http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/377/pics/1_8.jpg http://www.mediafire.com/download/4cgm348ca8tlupw/KremlinStar_25.zip Edited January 2, 2015 by Yakdriver

Yakdriver Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Must. Keep. Finding. Must. Keep. Painting. seriously - the series 29 is but one of the interesting LaGG variants. i refuse to do Series 1/4 the Shotgun-LaGGs as i call them as well as the 66 series, those are off Limits the 29'er Template's "Wireframe" has very strong hints towards an earlier based variant, so the Early ones that i find must wait. The later ones have some serious changes too, that i refuse to put on the 29er Model. hey Crew! 15 Bucks for a Series 4, and another 15 bucks for a Series 66 variant, properly modeled in Both 3D and FM [slats!] need more Dumptrucks in here...! ...one Army of Dumptrucks to push back the Hakenkross-Hordes! http://aviadejavu.ru/Site/Crafts/Craft19958.htm So my Paintjobs are for the 39er and 35er Series mostly, and even that ... teethgrinding towards the retractable wheel and such. Here is Kaberov's White 59... the same Guy who flew the red 59 above. This time in Temperate livery chose to bang her up a bit this time, war wear, Hundreds of hours on the clock, and all that - muddy tires... he clearly did not have the habit of braking the wheels before pulling them in.... got Mud all over the underside. "ain nobody got tome for dat" semi-matt color with the paint chipping reflecting in the sunlight. hold on, lets make these numbers a tad bit bigger.... better. Update the zipfile on MDF... hold on a minute... http://www.mediafire.com/download/tshi42b11zgo0vb/Kaberov_white59.zip 7

Yakdriver Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 since i am running out of Series 29 skins to paint, i shall turn towards serious war skins, dedicated to the many pilots who did not get photographed, who flew day in day out never to gain fame nor fortune. - serious skins with individual markings, yet based on nothing but imagination. "Hammersickle_white54" in summer colors, ca spring 43. http://www.mediafire.com/download/sqdei5irqiboxwr/hammersickle_white54.zip 2

SOLIDKREATE Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 They need to really separate these skin threads into 'Historical' and 'Fantasy' 2
Yakdriver Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 matter has been taken to PM. post erased. text saved for reference. 1
Yakdriver Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Because its the most grabbed skin so far, let me add two more 524th Variants... White19 and White33 anyone ever Red the Book "le Grand Duc"? Then you surely Know Lilya, the Pilot who started on The Po2, then Peshkas, then ... here she serves the Country as a Noseart on white 11 and brought in a Collegue on white 8, sporting a similar but not identical scheme, and i threw a "generic" Variant in there as well - all 524th IAP Skins are in this Zip. http://www.mediafire.com/download/12gb2rwrfva6fgm/524IAP_II.zip 2
Yakdriver Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Some more Camouflage for russian Air Warriors I like the stock "3-tone n°71" skin. Fighting alone is more dangerous than fighting in a coordinated manner with a hands full of buddies... I Created this series of "Moscow Defenders" They each sport an individual Noseart and have various levels of dirt and wear, some have the stars moved a few pixels, some colors are a bit different - every plane is unique in many senses. - Shape of Russia with a yellow hammer/sickle in the area of Moscow - "Fist smashing Hakenkreuz" modern-ish art - Shape of Cathedral on white Background - Moscow's Coat of Arms http://www.mediafire.com/download/3dk4apejts1hxiu/3-colors.zip Edited January 25, 2015 by Yakdriver
SOLIDKREATE Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 These are actually very good. They look as though they could have existed.
Yakdriver Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) the paint is not what i am hinting at.check the alpha channel, 4 o'clock at the border. Just below the stabi, where the color for the wheel covers is.on that spot the alpha channel is black - which means the wheel covers are invizibl.you want them back like the real deal? cover the black with some form of grey... Yankee_One Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi, i get crazy, so many and so beautifull skins. Thanks you
ivanovax Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi guys. All your's (BP_Iceman, Yakdriver, SPEKTRE76) skins done very well, but all of you use wrong AMT colors. I don't understand why you don't use colors from developers templates, all colors are correct there. It seems to me, that all of you took them from one Pilawskii book.

Hello AMT colors are subject to many, many fiery debates in many forums. And apparently never find a match. I personally prefer rather than Pilawski, work of Mr. Tessitori .Color shades i trying to take from of the AKAN and mr.Paint color chip´s that are quite positively evaluated. Maybe it's that each monitor appears to be a little different colors. 1
