1CGS LukeFF Posted October 30 1CGS Posted October 30 Hey everyone! Today, we take a look at the backstory and development of the two maps coming to the Siege and Liberation module, Odessa and the Gulf of Finland. 17 4 2
Missionbug Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Looks like a lot of love and hard work went into both maps, congratulations to all involved a great achievement. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. 1
AcesDarthBubu Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Happy to hear steam users will soon able to acquire this module. Keep it up and thanks!
Juri_JS Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) The time it takes to build a good map is really insane. I can't even remember how many weeks I worked on the road/rail system of the Leningrad map. I hope in the future AI can help to reduce the time, for example when it comes to placing landscape textures and creating towns and roads, by extracting data from old aerial photos. In geoinformatics such technologies already exist. Edited October 31 by Juri_JS 1
Kubert Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) I don't know, but swastikas are illegal on this forum. Edited October 31 by Kubert
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Would like to know at what stage are Finish planes. When we can see first plane for example. 1

Trooper117 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 The Finnish markings are not a Nazi swastika, it was used as a military marking for Finnish forces from 1918... Having blanked out markings on Finnish aircraft will just look bloody stupid. 1
Kubert Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) @Trooper117 Yes, it's pissing me too that they must to be censored as well even when they have nothing to do with the German swastika. But, it is what it is. If I didn't point at it, someone else would. But back to the topic. It is interesting that both project started with a similar idea: "I want fly above my home". I personally don't want fly above my country because we have mountain in the middle and AI could have a problem. So I'll rather fly above your homes. Edited October 31 by Kubert
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 31 Author 1CGS Posted October 31 And that's the last off-topic post in this subject (the first part). Anything further along those lines will be removed.
