Just to clear this point up: "This fall we'll have the news about new winged engines, and there will be more engines than usual."

 

There are 2 interpretations I came up with:

1) There will be some twin-engined aircraft, perhaps bombers. This is in comparison with how the majority of aircraft added lately are single-engined.

2) There will be a 4-engined bomber. Highly unlikely, but this idea is better be said in this (unlikely) context rather than by someone who can only imagine seeing B-17s roam the skies. Too much hype creates impossible expectations.

De jure one could say every engine made airborne via usage of wings can be called a "winged engine". 

So we've already got tens of winged DBs, Merlins, 105s and radials.

I'm honestly really pleasantly surprised with the continued support of GB, I think a lot of people thought we were saying goodbye when Korea was announced, but comitting to the early and late war eastern front, and zeps for FC, I think  you guys are really doing a great job of giving Great battles the send off a lot of the community wanted but didn't think we'd get. I am very excited to hear what you guys have planned. No one has mentioned a TB 3? A b 17 would be really cool, but we are getting those in at least 2 other upcoming sims. I'd honestly rather have a Mitchel or even B/A 26s. Its possible we could be getting other Soviet or German Med-heavy bombers as those would go along really well with Leningrad.

We made huge Finland/Leningrad map for IL 1946 with Agracier. And Also other maps. Someone might remember It was  a huge task..It  was fun tho..  it is still available . But maps for IL2 Great Battles are complitely differenet thing..i was wondering that maybe AI can help...anyways. waiting patiently. Thank you for Hard work.

Winged engines? Maybe it refers to German jet planes of very late war. Such as the Wunderwaffen ... Me163, etc

Winged engines.... I'd say Pratt &. Whitney (i.e. flyable B-26) or Wright (i.e. flyable B-25). A flyable solid nose B-25 would kick ass!

Looking good!  Leningrad was my favorite map in the previous IL2.  Really looking foward to this.  Would be nice to add some aircraft from Finland like the Buffalo.  I really enjoyed flying that one.
