Proper use of the Fokker D.7F high altitude throttle?

Hi all,

So I'm branching out a bit and digging into Central Powers aircraft. Last night I flew the Fokker D7 on a solo mission, taking it up to 20,000 feet and learning how to use the two throttles.

I didn't even know that the Fokker D.7 had two throttles until I read Anders's book, and there it is already modeled in the game!

Anyway, I seem to recall reading that the high altitude throttle should be used about 6,000 feet. Is that right? Does anyone have more concrete data?

Thanks!

To avoid damaging your engine, this throttle should not be used at altitudes below 2000 meters. Above 2000 meters, the throttle can be safely opened to 1/3 of its maximum output; above 3000 meters, it can be opened to 2/3 of its maximum output, and it can be fully opened above 4000 meters.

But so far these values are implemented incorrectly in the game?
So far I remember can open the altitude throttle in lower altitudes without danger?

Or is this issue already patched?

In game did it not used to be 500 / 1000 / 1500M ?

In any case, if you hear your engine far rasping you've gone too early.

I dunno, I just directly copied that from the ROF manual.

The manual seems correct but in game the values from @Zooropa_Fly working.

It was already mentioned somewhere in the forum this needs to be corrected

Doesn't work in DF7 you can't damage the engine, if I remember correctly it does damage the  HalbCL2 engine tho. Why ??

If something is wrong, I need a report I can send to our engineers, which means including a track file, thanks.

Please let me remind you this discussion. It’s already mentioned and documented that the altitude throttle works in much lower altitudes as it should be described in the manual:

It can be opened 1/3 at 500m, 2/3 at 1000m, then full by 1500m. This was the same in Rise of Flight so no change in the port. Looks like the manual reflects the BMW documentation but was implemented differently. NB this is the same in the Pfalz DXII(F) we have in game.

So, circling back -- does Luke have a track file for the lower than appropriate throttle settings from the prior thread?

If not, how does one go about creating a track file?

Thanks!
