Cardolan Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Is there any way to enable the recording of a video only when firing the guns/bombs/rockets of the player plane?
Jaegermeister Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I suppose you could map your gun trigger command to the same key combination as the record video command. I think you would need to write a macro command and assign it to a key to have a delay for the rounds to arrive on target though. 1 1
Cardolan Posted May 15 Author Posted May 15 Thanks for the idea @Jaegermeister I think it would be a nice feature if the game would have that feature coded in. In this way we could have the gun footage of our kills in Career mode, for instance. On a different tack, covering career details, it would be better if we had kills detailed by plane type and date instead of a simple counter of light/medium/heavy planes' categories. Just a couple of ideas to enliven the Career mode, my preferred way of playing.

You could consider keeping a personal log book for your pilot where you write down short reports like "25.05.1944 - Clear sky - Escorted a flight of Marauders to Calais, saw 4 190s on our way back, but they didn't engage" or along these lines Edited May 15 by MDzmitry

I am still learning the ropes of the sim playing Career in ironman, because well... it has much more consequence and provides much more fun. But I need to be a bit more careful to improve my survival chances. Anyway, thx for the suggestions! 1
MaxPower Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I think modern video cards / video card software usually have a 'clip' recording feature. I wonder if this could be rigged up to make guncam like footage.
