There is much debate as to the colour of the fuselage side numbers of the aircraft but most historians now agree that they were yellow, implying assignment to the 3rd Gruppe, possibly 9th or 11th Staffel of JG301.

As to color of planes in Luftwaffe. There was a pretty simple system in place. Within a given Gruppe the 1st squadron is always white, 2nd Squadron always black or red, 3rd squadron always yellow and fourth squadron always blue. Since we have a plane of assumed 3rd Gruppe (9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Squadron) here the 3rd squadron of the Gruppe (11th Squadron of the Geschwader) is yellow. If it is not a plane of 3rd Gruppe, but a plane of 2nd Gruppe (hint yellow horizontal bar) then it would have belonged to 7th squadron.

I've lost track, but have you given us a generic of this skin without the tactical code yet?  If not, could we please have one to suit up other members of a flight?

This might interest you. A Generic JG301 skin from Flowbee for Ta-152. Not the same as here, but reasonably close.
