Hi pilots.

Scrolling is annoying when creating a map, so I modified the main dialog box in the editor so that it wouldn't have to scroll. On smaller monitors, the width may be too large. The file is attached below.

Copy the file to the directory where the editor is.
example: ...\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\bin\editor\
Don't forget to make a copy of the original file!

@LukeFF

This is a really helpful small QoL improvement to the editor. See the difference below. I can see pretty much anyone working with the editor will want this. Particularly anything above a simple mission will benefit greatly in editing productivity.

Could consideration be given by the dev team to making this an official change please? If they could make the mission tree window be resizable that would be even better.

Thanks

This is really a big improvement. The file was originally blocked by my antivirus, but it looks legit. I assume it will have to be updated if the editor is modified in future updates.

Thanks for this utility @Orel_Ninos!

I can say I have used it and it works well. I've even resaved missions with it installed with no problems.

I'm not sure on the updating it for each game update part though but that would seem logical.

This is a replacement editor.exe file. If the editor was modified in an update, this file will be overwritten, and reinstalling it will most likely revert you back to the previous ME version. It doesn’t mean you couldn’t use it, you just wouldn’t get any new ME features that had been added. I read there was one ME change in the last update

When a new patch comes out, I will post the modified file for the current version here.

Thanks, that would be great. Maybe they will add your improvement to the release editor. It would be appreciated.

Unfortunately Windows Defender refuses this.

But we have a time function since very long time. I use the Duration function in the Subtitle window.

I do not see what they mean by Timer in this last update. I do not see any difference.

Please suggest the possibility to stretch and widen, I mean vertically and horizontally 🙏. When you have multiple levels in groups the names got cut completely and you have to scroll horizontally.

Thank you very very much.🫶
