kraut1 Posted November 23, 2024 Author Posted November 23, 2024 (edited) A small Guide for the spotting itself after battery is activated by flying over at low level: General Note concerning impact of arty spotting flash scipt (original flash script by IL2-GB pilot career): -After the script is activated (after flying at very low lever over the battery): time acceleration deactivated (because of this in my group after 10 minutes the script will be automaticly deactivated) -After displaying the fire control grid [LWin +1]: Head rotation blocked: Just select the target grid and display off again with [LWin +1], The battery will continue firing. Tasks: -For the 2d Exercise fly in very low level over your battery to activate the spotting script -Find the targets when flying over the area. (see 2:30 in the video below) -By comparing your observations with the grid on your map you have to estimate the grid location where the targets could be. (see 2:34 in the video) -From your cockpit view activate Fire Control with [LWin + 1] and click on the estimated target grid location (see 2:30 in the video) Now the first fire mission begins, observe the shell explosions (see 3:10 in the video), if your grid was correct let the battery do it's work, otherwise try to correct the fire by selecting an alternative grid (see 4:10 in the video) correction: Hits insite target area: Here a video of my very first test with an oudated group. But you can see the fire control: Edited November 23, 2024 by kraut1 1 1
