Tried to escape the MSFS 2024 loading screen and now we stuck in the IL-2 one
What a day XD

Edit:  Took absolute ages, but we're finally in!  Time to crash more antique planes 😄

Really been looking forward to this update! Well done. More WW1 content would be great in the future though (if possible). The eastern front in Rise of Flight was very good. Still, the new Korea game looks excellent.

I found 2 things:

1. Please correct me if I'm wrong but You can't restart eindercker engine. Simply when it's stops (engine) it's not possible to start cause throttle 100% doesn't work?

2. Campaign start from ground it's bugged. Some AI crashed on start because everyone started at the same time.

What airfield did this happen at? And if possible do you have a track file showing it happening?

When you start campagn on jasta 2 - I will send a track.

Thanks, our QA people are looking into it for a solution.

@LukeFF I'm not sure who cares, however, about the Strutter ...

The Strutter B (single seat) was not a fighter.  It was a dedicated bomber.  The rear gunner was removed to allow for more weight in bombs.  If career mode treats it as a single seat fighter that will be pretty odd.

There really was no fighter version of the Strutter.  If it was used as a fighter then it was similar to the FE2b or Bristol.  in that role it would always be the two seater.  Pretty sure only the British did this.  For the French it was a recon or a bomber (two seater) or a dedicated bomber (single seater).

Is a Track File the same as the Flight Records I usually record while playing the sim; or is there any difference?

What about the Comics? I have the Roden model with the pilot's cockpit moved rearwards as on the Comic Camel, but I believe there were some converted from bombers that retained the conventional pilot's location.

The timeline would be wrong though - I'm fairly sure the Home Defense conversions were done after the aircraft had been retired from the frontline. It's also essentially a different aircraft from the one in the game, with different guns.

Fair point, but probably limited to British Home Defense.  I was focused on mass use at the Front.  The single seat B model was mostly a French thing - I think it might have been entirely a French thing.  Get rid of the observer/gunner and load it with more bombs.  Imagine the joy of taking up a laden Strutter with no gunner to protect you.  I am betting that those pilots had a farewell letter to their next of kin written and stored in an easy to find place.

There were some in Royal Navy squadrons:

Blade posted this pic here yesterday.  I don't see Paris on any of the new maps.  Which way is the Eiffel Tower?

Same thing here. 29th Squadron at Le Hameau. Happened 3 times every times on escort bombers missions. Everyone turned right at the beginning and went through the static objects line. Twice I was the only one alive, once two other guys took off damaged but their wings fell of later.

The clock is missing in the Fokker E.III cockpit, even if I select it as mod!

Hmm... things are not as they should be with the FC4 release... this isn't the first little niggle that has cropped up.

I've already done several flights in FC updated map, but except Paris, I did not recognize new objects on the map, where they are? Which are? it would be nice to have a list with screenshots, I just saw Zeppelin hangar in a user post, nothing more. It's just curiosity.

hello everyone,
I noticed that
... even after 5.504b the correct names for the aircraft are missing in the aircraft lists
at Etente: Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter B is missing (there are two Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutters !!!)
at Central: Roland C.IIa is missing (but there is an R.E.8)😲

I'm not sure how I missed this announcement except that I've been very busy. November 19th is my older son's birthday, and he turned 19. 🙂

I'm excited to read about the updates to the Nieuport 28 and look forward to giving it a spin (that's a pun).

Flying Circus IV is on my holiday wish list.

By the way, just wanted to let you know that the texture bug with the Hanriot Skins keep happening, where the middle section of the upper wing always look silver even when in the skin the wing is fully painted with other color.

However, the Roland is a pig.  Hard to get it off the ground with four small bombs and full fuel.  Feels underpowered.
