Grunwalski Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Explaination : I'm a squad leader of a A20B bomber squadron When ennemy fighter arrive near us, my gunners shoot at them, but the other gunner in the other A20B in my formation dont shoot to anything, and so we get killed to easily, what should I do? I tried with the Quick start, the PWCG and the Career.. I dont understand whats wrong.. But we NEED gunner to shoot if we want survive as a bomber formation, how is that possible
Grunwalski Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Same with other bomber, not only A20B
JG4_Moltke1871 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I think it’s an issue of different gunner skills. Only the players gunners are on highest level, the AI plane gunners ignore the enemy for usual what makes the formation/combat box completely useless. And a bit bomber careers unplayable because any time you get intercepted it ends in a massacre. @LukeFF is this an known issue? 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 8, 2024 1CGS Posted October 8, 2024 I would need a track file to send to the developers to examine before it can be determined if there is an issue.
Grunwalski Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 @LukeFF How can I do that? Because if this basic mechanic is not working.. how can we play?
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 11, 2024 1CGS Posted October 11, 2024 You just need to record a track file using the usual methods and then upload it here.

Grunwalski Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 Its my first time on the forum and I dont know what is track file Is it the event log?
Art-J Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 No, a replay track, which you need to record so that Luke or devs will be able to watch it on their PCs.
MaxPower Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 It looks like they're doing their best to tell you what you need to do without telling you how to do it, @Grunwalski. I did a quick google search and I found another similar conversation where they told the person 'to read the manual' then said 'the manual is somewhere on this forum' but they did not say where. I was unable to locate the manual for you because the search feature on this forum is pretty worthless and the word 'manual' is used to frequently. There was 165 pages of results. When I went to go to the last page (which I thought might be the oldest results), the search feature said no, I must wait 7 more seconds. I didn't change the search, I just wanted to go to a different page. It's just a real pain in the butt. The best I can come up with is the following: I have never recorded a track and I don't know how to do it, but you can probably find the hot key binds for recording a track file in the control settings in il2. By default, the record button seems to be 'right ctrl + r'. The flight recordings can apparently be accessed in the main menu. The track files are stored in the game's main subfolder/data/Tracks. This information is all hearsay but it's what I found in this post: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/32868-where-is-the-record-flight-button/ And here is a link to some fan made manuals. I am not sure what they contain, or if this is these are manuals that were suggested: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/76846-il-2-sturmovik-great-battles-manuals-ver-4702c/ 1
