Deacon352nd Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 I’m in the process of making a series of missions for my group and was wondering if there are any groups or objects for land mines which explode if a tank goes over them. Also a group for a train car to carry a tank. Thanks ahead of time for any answers.

This one has mines that will explode when an Axis tank rolls over them. You can change the coalition in the Checkzone to Allies if you like. If you want to make the mines actually damage an enemy tank, you would have to place a command damage MCU on the mine, triggered by the Check zone, and object link it to a specific tank. If this is for an MP mission... and I'm not able to link the mine to a specific tank, since players will be passing in the area of my minefield... Any solution for this? A big thanks for this group... Now, I just need to create random (3) places where my mines can appear. Cheers, GenMarkof +

Ground explosions are a visual effect. You can link it to AI vehicles, but that’s a whole different thing than what I used it for. Also even to this day, if you apply command damage to an activated formation, it applies to the entire formation, not just the individual linked vehicle. If you destroy 1, they will all go up in smoke. Edited September 1, 2024 by Jaegermeister 1

Frankly this should have been corrected and allow for individual damage which by the way the game does manage that way. I cannot understand why this was coded this way as it is of no real interest. An unfinished work or kind of bug.
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Created for SP and MP Mines for Assault Gun and Operation Market Garden campaigns and corrected and polished up a Danger Dogs Transferred Tanks MP sortie. Those are within the campaigns and don't know where the Transferred Tanks Group went. Basically, you should always name the player's vehicle or aircraft within the logic to blow up and/or the transferred tank. Tip

You have my full support but I doubt it will help much.
