I thought the sound was quite decent at 2x speed.

And the issue with weird views of the body is exactly why I prefer to not have a body in a first person view.

It is nice to see some of the other team members!

Personally speaking, I always enjoyed first person bailouts - even if the graphics weren't perfect... it was worth it. Worse shadows are more immersive than floating outside of one's own body!

I love the peak behind the scenes. I also think that it is pretty amusing (in a charming way) that you guys seem to be having to restrain yourselves from trying to use procedural animations (simulated spinal chord?)

Will we be able to walk around in first person view? That is still a bit unclear.

Great stuff!  Many thanks for taking the time to explain these issues.  :salute:

Happy landings,

Yeah sorry, I'm not sitting through another of these god awful 40 minute AI voiceovers. I get that you're trying to improve after how much people complained about a lack of communication but guys, this ain't it. Just give us a few paragraphs and some screenshots every other week or so, its not that difficult.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I got everything I needed from the video posted the other week. We see that the pilot can walk around outside the cockpit and is animated inside the cockpit, cool. I doubt I'll use it much, I hate having someone else's arms getting in the way when I'm trying to look around my cockpit.

These videos are a way for us to explain in more detail what can't be explained easily in a weekly Dev Blog entry.

And if the audio bothers you that much, just silence it and turn on the subtitles.

You can turn off the sound and turn on the subtitles, or read the transcript.

Where is the transcript please? Again, I would rather sit through an hour of baby seal clubbing video than listen to and watch this. I just can't do it. Take note of CP's latest DD and go back to the old DD format of writing and pictures and short videos. It will save you time in the long run.

True, and there are 1.412 billion speaking Chinese too, but who is the biggest market for IL-2?

I should have clarified, for the English speaking audience of course. The AI translation is just so bad that I can't watch it and listen to it and CC with the sound muted seems dumb to me.  No offense to the team. It's not their fault.

Just read the transcript. It's as bad as the audio. Translation of a conversation just doesn't work.

I found 1.75 x speed with subtitles works ok for me  🙂

It was translated from the original Russian by Sneaksie and then proofread by myself for clarity.

Sorry, guys, but this is just the reality of interviewing guests that don't speak fluent English. These aren't going to be TED Talks.

Neither did I. If they must continue with the videos then how about a normal DD to go along with it for this English Forum.
