jg123410 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Not sure if this was discussed before, but just noticed the "Museum" tab on the main website and have been enjoying it the past few minutes. Very cool! - Thank you!!! 1 2 3

JG4_Moltke1871 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Really a nice thing. But so far I miss WW1 planes 🧐 1
David_4555 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Fun indeed. They didn't even tell anyone about it I don't think. Also I wish they'd fix the Mustang on the main page... The number of prop blades is wrong
JG4_Moltke1871 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 And by the way, I miss the Ta 152 in this museum 😜

As the Ta-152 hasn't been released yet, it's not ready for the museum either. I'd check back in a few weeks 🙂 . Have a nice day.
1CGS LukeFF Posted June 17, 2024 1CGS Posted June 17, 2024 Glad you all like it. 🙂 This was a big project to put together. 7 4 3
ShamrockOneFive Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Did that just appear? Its definitely worth shouting out. This is a really good feature to have!
ShamrockOneFive Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Follow up question. Flying Circus aircraft making their way in their eventually too? I ask out of interest rather than impatience... I KNOW how long something like that can take to get together. 1 1

MajorMagee Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Just to make this easier... IL2 Museum Home Page 1 1
AEthelraedUnraed Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) Very nice addition to the site! If I could make one suggestion @LukeFF; "Sturmoviks" in the categories should be changed into "Attack aircraft". In English usage, Sturmovik refers only to the IL-2, while this category also contains the Ju-87 and Hs-129. I suspect this is a translation from Russian, where "штурмови́к" does indeed refer to attack aircraft in general. Edited June 18, 2024 by AEthelraedUnraed 2

Zooropa_Fly Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Nice addition. How about another tab, to filter the items the logged-in user owns / doesn't own ?

I like the idea but you have your personal profile for that. The museum is more for content of the game in general, I think. Have a nice day.

bycomet Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 What do those 25 mean as a suffix to %? I see them in all aircraft' specifications. - idling on the ground: open 50%25 - takeoff: open 50%25 - climb: open 100%25 - cruise flight: open 25%25 - combat: open 50%25

MajorMagee Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 It shows up on almost every aircraft near the bottom of the specifications tab.

When converting between editing software, sometimes the HTML code remains instead of it getting converted into the proper character sequence. Shouldn't be too difficult for them to sort out.

Well, I now use Sturmovik for all attack aircraft with some armouring... 😄 ..and I speak English right? Caudron G.IV AV? Sturmovik! Vampire F.B.6? Sturmovik! Shouldn't the Typhoon be on the list though? 2

The number of prop blades is wrong Yea there's a handful of incorrect things I've seen, such as stating that the Bf109 E-7 and the Bf110 E-2 has a DB601N engine, which they did, but we don't get that one in this sim; we get the weaker DB601A. It's something I particularly noticed because both of those planes would be a decent bit faster with the DB601N engine. Other little things too, like the Bf109 F-4 with gunpods containing 120 rounds per gun, when it's actually 135 from everything I've ever seen (including the in-sim plane that we fly). Sounds like there just needs to be some more proof reading. 2

ACG_Bussard Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 Could it be that the Spitfire IXc and IXe are still missing on the museum website? Unfortunately I can't find the two fighters.
Trooper117 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 It's been mentioned since the museum has been a thing... they will get round to it.
ACG_Bussard Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Awesome. And I was worried it had been overseen!
IckyATLAS Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Just visited the museum. Excellent job. Well done. A very nice addition.
bycomet Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Still no update for Spitfire IX? And Ta 152? 1

Zooropa_Fly Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 It would be nice to have an interactive 3d model for each plane in addition to the pictures. But I don't expect there'll be time for that just now.
