BOO Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Abandoning the sidequests, I blundered through to the end, principally to say Ive played it through so I could delete it from the drive. In some ways its good but it never improved beyond my initial bad impressions for me. With the exception of Henry and perhaps Capon, the voice acting is terrible and often so badly chosen to match characters and so lacking any QC its almost insulting. And thats a shame because the script is actually pretty good and often laugh out loud funny. In fact its the worst game I've ever played in this regard, a fact compounded by either glithching sound engine or yet more abysmal QC (heavy reverberation on voices out in the open was a recurrent bug). The swordplay mechanics are not great but pale in comparison to the overly long sections of cut scenes, terrible pacing, pointless mini tasks within the main quests and the anti climax and pointless moralising over non-choices you made in the game, that is the end. Unlike RDR2 and the Last of Us's (Jeesh even Death Stranding)....I cant see this one getting a respin anytime soon.

I./JG68_Sperber Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has sold over 2 million copies in less than two weeks after its release on February 4, 2025. Already on the first day of sales, more than 1 million units were sold. Best Game ever! 👍 Edited February 23 by I./JG68_Sperber 2

I realise now that by sinply invoking the name of that song I've now cursed everyone reading that post to AT LEAST 24 hours hearing "Da da didi dum da da didi dum" internally... I am truly sorry. 🙂

Verkäufe sind jedoch kein Garant für Qualität. Since February 4th I have played 110 hours and only completed 30% of all quests and side quests. I love it, just like the first part. BOO Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I played it through again as I simply coudlnt understand why it was as bad an experience for me the first time around. It would appear that it was largely a "me" issue. In my defence noone told me I had to actually activate the perks ok??!! 🙂 Anyhow, with that done and considerably more time spent on side quests and alchemy initally, I got Henry powered up like a champ. That does bring it own issues as he was soon super human and fights no longer presented much of an issue but, overall, a lot more enjoyable.

Yeah the perks caught me out at first as well, they do make a big difference. I agree that fully powered up Henry seems pretty unbeatable unless I do something really dumb. Luckily my preferred approach is to hit people with poisoned arrows because I'm deeply dishonourable

Luckily my preferred approach is to hit people with poisoned arrows because I'm deeply dishonourable I ultimately made friends with Andrew Ramheads hurty stick early game until I levelled up on the longsword then went down the reforged longsword route. The "Henry" marogold portion pretty much makes one immortal with that set up. If I play it though again I may make Henry somewhat less of a tank I stil dont understand how pebbles goes from a 150 Groschen hag on a Monday to a 4400 superhorse on a Tuesday but hey ho.

KCD1 had an ironman mode that made you select two debuffs to start with and removed all of the HUD info (compass, stamina etc). It made it a completely different game, had to do a lot more thinking. I guess maybe they made the horse better quickly because as the map extends running around it becomes a ball ache?

I dont think thats it - but hey I aint complaining. I was expecting a Red Dead 2 horsy bang bang teary moment to arrive but it seems Pebbles is pretty much immortal.....perhaps a missed opportunity but equally one I would have been seriously peed off at. 1
