Game Crashing since last update

Since about the time of the last update, I have been experiencing game crashes after flying about two missions in career mode in VR.  Fortunately, this usually happens between missions and after the previous mission was saved, but occasionally it happens during a mission.

 

Anyone else experience this recently?

Yes, sometimes between missions the program hangs and can’t even be stopped from the Task Manager because the mouse cursor disappears. Have to restart my computer…

Probably a windows issue?

Start command mode as administrator, run sfc\scannow, with Windows in safe mode in safe mode fixes corrupted system files.

@jollyjack  Awesome--thank you for the quick reply and suggestion.  I just ran sfc/scannow and there was a corruption issue.  Fingers crossed that this fixes the game crashes.

 

Update:  Checked the integrity of Windows, IL-2, and SteamVR files.  Windows did have corrupted files, which were corrected.  IL-2 is still crashing between missions.  

 

Just shot off the wing off of an enemy fighter and ... game crash!  Arrrrrrgh!

By the way, this method can be used to solve more than one type of issue, so it is really a good thing to know.

 

Update:  But it didn't solve the issue and still experiencing crashes!  Sigh.
