JG1_Vonrd Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 I have a second joystick that I use for driving and command functions (open hatch, take command, nestle to gunsight, etc). All was working about a year ago. I just got back to doing some tanking. Now previously mapped buttons don't work. I re-map them and they are recognized in the mapping but do absolutely nothing in game. For example, a button mapped to "switch firing position", default L Ctrl+c, is accepted in the mapping but has no affect in game. The default keypress L Ctrl+c does work. There are no conflicts / double maps as far as I can see. Other buttons on that joystick work fine. WTF?
JV44HeinzBar Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 S! Von, I experience the same problem. I've been battling this issue for the past year or so. One problem is anytime I move my HOTAS, I lose key binds. I've tried using the same USB ports, I've tried different ports. Unfortunately, this problem remains and leaves me key binding my HOTAS, again. Very frustrating! BTW, I use Virpil products: R-alpha grip, warbird base, CM2 throttle, and MFG crosswind pedals. I don't know if it's one of the updates, but I don't recall having any of these problems in the past until the recent updates ~ 1-2 years ago. HB
czech693 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Check your data/input/devices.txt and make sure you haven't exceeded the limit (which I think is eight), or that you don't have duplicate devices. Also, check the number label of the devices as adding devices can change the number order and your assignments in the sim won't match up to the device if it's number has changed.
