Do you have any mission files or tracks showing the problem?

I'll try to find them or test and record it again.

@LukeFF

Same problem here.  Now the skies are empty of enemy aircraft when returning from longer missions.

It used to be that you had to worry about enemy flights patrolling the front line on your return from longer missions, such as attacking an airfield or railway junction.  Now the skies are empty of enemy aircraft when returning from longer missions.  This makes for a very boring return flight.

Enemy flights that you know were there patrolling the front line, that maybe you've dodged when you are heavy with bombs, just aren't there anymore on the return trip home.  I've put my plane on autopilot and watched enemy flights that would have still been there on my return flight simply de-spawn in front of my eyes (CNTL-F2 view).

For those of use with stronger computers is there a way to turn off this new resource management?  With graphics maxed out I've always had 90+ fps, and there was no need for resource management.  Now there are no enemy aircraft waiting for me anymore.  No more fights on the return trip home.

Not all of us are looking for a furball in the first 15 to 20 minutes of a flight.  The skies used to be alive with enemy aircraft for at least 45 minutes to an hour.  Return flights were just as dangerous as your outbound trip.  Now the skies are empty on the way home.  No reason to even fly the return trip.

This is really bad, Luke. ☹️

I'll ask about it and see if anything can be done, thanks. 🙂

Okay, so one thing to remember is that right now DRA only applies to escort missions. It's not yet been implemented for other mission types.

Thanks for asking @LukeFF  🙂

And that explains my problem.  My favorite missions are escort missions, as they tend to go deeper into enemy territory and last longer.  I always fly as squadron leader, and I usually fly escort missions, plus free hunt and missions attacking airfields and rail stations, etc.

So, I have been flying escort missions, plus a couple of free hunt and attack missions where I must have just had bad luck in finding enemy aircraft.

Please ask 1C to consider those of us who have strong computers to maybe give us the option to turn off resource management in the future.  We don't need fewer enemy flights.

Cheers!

I think that the better solution is to fix DRA, rather than turn it off.

It's being reviewed for potential fixes in the next update. Hang in there. 🙂

Dynamic Resource Allocation System, as the topic says.

Basically it seems to be a system of triggers built within single player missions that despawns/removes "unneeded" objects if resources seem to be limited.

Wow and it does that automatically. I suppose this does not concern missions that we create.

Ummm, its not so "Wow" as far as I see. Just basically something you could build yourself within your missions. A bit grandeur name for the template of triggers, but hey, its still a great attempt to create more lively missions.

Sure I have this concept in all my missions. It is related to the environmental sensory bubble of the pilot.

All that is outside whenever possible is deactivated or deleted depending on the mission so that they do not use resources unnecessarily.

I was thinking more of a hidden lower level internal mechanism of resource allocation.
