Request for Rhineland Map Mod with a small Strip of East England or a Freeflight Zone until East England

Hi All,

Is it now with the new IL2-GB version possible to create a map mod?

With a small Strip of East England at the western edge of the map it would be possible to create interesting 1941 - August 1944 allied missions. Even long range missions into center of Germany would be possible for enthusiasts. And the flight over the sea would take only about 10...15 minutes.

The part of South England could have a maximum width of ca. 10km and there should be ca.. 2 airfields that are suitable for bombers.

distance from Airfields to western edge of the map just enough to allow AI circling after take off and before landing.

Landscape: of course as simple as possible, but maybe good-looking:

Only 3... 6 small villages, farms.., few roads, flat coast with beach, some trees.

 

Added later-> Or as mentioned by @jollyjack a "Free Flight Zone" similar as modded for Moscow Map:

"EffeDB Mod: Moscow Free Flight. Break the No-Fly Zone!"

Some Parts of East England are already visible. <-Added later

 

With this modification allied pilots could be enabled to create complete missions from take off to landing. (Currently are only complete Axis missions possible.)

Don't think so. I was am trying to setup a mission for North-Flanders and the Zeeland islands more seawards.

Think we need a larger map for that, but it seems this current Rhineland map is already quite large.

Pity this area is not covered in the Normandy map as well.

I suppose we asked for a bit different things:

 

-You want to extend limits of the map westwards to make the already visible Flanders coast available for a missions. (would be great, even east England is visible far away). I suppose this is not possible without the developers support.

 

-What I would like have, if possible with the new map editing features: Inside the existing map limits to create a small part of East England with 2 airfields)

But maybe I am wrong and it is not possible.

It is possible. You should go ahead and get started on that.

I remember using the Moscow free flight mod, and even setup a trainrace there ...

Interesting, of course a free flight zone would be great for Rhineland too.

The coastline of East England seems to be already defined in a simplified way.
