My Gigabyte 3080ti Geforce worked and works fine, but with the current GPU rat-race it might be wise to sell it after 2 years.

Was thinking of getting a 4080 super to replace it for my 4k Acer Predator monitor.

Seems however that the 4080-super is just as power-hungry but offers 2x the speed of a 3080ti.

Any opinions?

You answered your own question. But, for the sake of comparison:

Not sure where you got your information from, but it is all wrong. The 4080 Super is around 33-35% faster on average in games. It is also about 80 watts more power efficient.

I think that you are wasting your money upgrading now. You will spend a lot for not that much gain. Wait about a year for the next generation to get more for your money.

Thanks all, for now i ordered a 4080 super. Not all models are available directly however.

Reason: i checked the warranty period left on my 3080ti with amazon, and complained at the helpdesk about an occasional whitish flickering.

(I always thought it was driver related, but tried several older drivers, card and windows settings without a real solution).

Got a mail back that they refund the card as warranty service as i bought it from amazon itself, and still have almost 2 month left.

Again i am a satisfied customer ...

It makes a lot more sense to upgrade if you can get the full price back, rather than the 2nd hand value.
