For the life of me I can not figure out what the issue is here. For some confounding reason the Prop hub running always shows up white when running. Feel like I'm missing something rather simple but so far every fix I have tried has failed....Any ideas here where I'm going wrong? I know the other prop fixes but this is a new one.

This is BTW the stock template. Have not changed anything I know of but the nose cone. Happens in all of them I've done.

Welcome fellow Michigander or -gainian, whatever is the proper term. Go Lions!

I feel your pain. Any requests about issues with the prop hub or the NMF on the D-22 template seem to fall on deaf ears. I gave up trying to skin this plane. Nice looking skins you've done though.

I let the QA team know about the prop hub issue a few days ago, so hopefully it will be addressed.

Thx LukeFF. Any chance you could bend their ears again about the NMF too? Regardless of past comments, it's not the same as the NMF on both of the Mustangs, the P-38 or the P-47D-28. The D-22 is more a semi silver-gray with next to no reflective shine. I've tried several variations of the Alpha layer without any apparent improvement. It's really a shame as many razorback P-47s did fly without camo.

I'll see what I can do, but this is more @ICDP's territory.

I have had some moderate luck with increasing NMF reflectivity playing with the NMF base layer itself and adjusting the tone of it. Still though even with all sorts of Alpha changes or whatever it still looks... well just off a bit. Just have keep messing with it and I think for the specific aircraft I really need the NMF for it is working out. She does not have to be a pretty bird as she was run through the ringer pretty fast and pretty hard in reality. This one being my Grandfathers Aircraft flown with the 368th FG, 395th FS. Just in four short months, she went from being brand new and shiny, to having almost everything except the fuselage replaced with OD replacements from donor aircraft due to Flak damage. Only a very small number of D22 flew with the 368th (and a couple-maybe just one- D23). They quickly went to D-25/28 in June-July 1944 or flew older models such as the D-5 or D-15 if still around. Some C models where still in use late 44. Interesting note is some of those older D models made it all the way to 1945.

Would be great if this could be tracked down.. Thanks much.

It’s not a texture problem from my testing.  I have raised it with the devs and they will take a look.

The problem with bare metal skins on the D22 is a more nuanced thing.  If they adjust the materials of the 3D model, pretty much every OD skin created will break.
