is there any plans to ever add any type of career or dynamic campaign? if not, is there any third party app that does this?

If I got it right... yes, but the developers (Team Fusion Simulations) will sooner or later see your post and, I guess, they won't be long before they respond to your question with a more precise answer.

Yes, a guy nicknamed The Oden prepared an executable software for that, we commonly call it the DynMis EXE ("the dynamic missions executable"). Click here for the corresponding thread on these forums... and here for the software.

 

As a consolation for the lack of a quick mission builder, The Oden also prepared a set of free flight single missions that will allow you to cold start your engine. He called that pack of missions "Leisure Flight", you'll find it here.
