muff1n Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 hello, any news regarding the support of tobi, even DCS already supports it anybody knows, when using FTNOIR, when looking at your 6, how to invert the X axis at specific yaw degree, seems to be impossible to do (or the reverse option doesn't work in shortkeys menu), only the fixed position snap, but that feels weird (checked) btw, tobi with camera boost is awesome in DCS, no more antennas on my head (no offense) 2
ShamrockOneFive Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 Yeah I'd love to see native support for Tobii. Of the four/five sims that I fly regularly the only ones that don't yet support it is the IL-2 series. FaceTrackNoIR is ok but you're right that the full range of motion seems impossible to get. It mostly works well but looking up is problematic for some reason.
muff1n Posted November 25, 2023 Author Posted November 25, 2023 you can make everything work, based on this docu: https://gist.github.com/amadeus/09b32e4d45f815f6d46686d367c4b6ee just configure your own curves in opentrack, the ones in the docu, didn't suit me now looking at your 6 and axes are reversed, but yeah native support would be appreciated 1
muff1n Posted January 13, 2024 Author Posted January 13, 2024 I actually changed my mind, you can make tobi work directly with opentrack, no more facetrack + opentrack bs and it works pretty good 1

GO63 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 You are absolutely right. The Max Z setting is described in the description of the Hamilton filter: https://sites.google.com/site/diyheadtracking/home/opentrack/opentrack-hamilton-filter
IRRE_LeLong Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Hi folks, coming for updates regarding this compatibility issues: is IL2-GB now compatible with Tobii Eye Tracker 5 ? Any improvements whatsoever? I have a TrackIR 5 with Trackclip, still working, I love the precision and responsiveness. I'm wondering if I would be happy with Tobii, that many mention to be slightly less responsive (is that your feeling? how much less responsibe ?) But if using Tobii with IL2 is a struggle... that would settle my choice 😕 Any feedback will be much appreciated!
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 1, 2024 1CGS Posted July 1, 2024 Official support has not yet been added, no.

How are you getting IL-2 to bind the Tobii? Been a long time Tobii 5 user in Star Citizen, some friends told me to try IL-2 so I'm trying to get it configured but not seeing anywhere to specify head tracking. Thanks
