Announcement from Fulqrum:

Greetings, pilots,

It is our greatest pleasure to announce that we are working on a new DLC for IL-2 STURMOVIK called Fortresses and Focke Wulfs: Dieppe! It will find its way to your computers during late 2024. To celebrate this occasion, we have permanently reduced the price of our previous DLC, the IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - Tobruk AND we will be running an additional 50% discount starting today, October 16, at 7pm CEST / 10am PT, for a whole week - until October 23.

But now, let's watch the official trailer:

This was a Fulqrum post, not mine, although I did the trailer. Nonetheless, what is the problem with posting 3D photos in their announcement?

For starters Steam is not the asset store to put pictures of (unfinished) 3d models.

Secondly, can you show me any game on Steam store which puts 3d renders as their screenshots?

Thirdly, did you check this link: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/assets/standard#screenshots?

Fourthly, posting anything else than screenshots can be defined as misleading marketing materials. It can possibly get you into legal dispute and Valve can remove your product from the store.

Obviously, you can leave it as it is but do not be surprised if people flag your store page to have misleading marketing materials...

S!

An apprentice for The Choir of Displease appeared?! Something wrong in the water people drink?! The amount of crap and negativity thrown towards TFS has lately reached new levels. I bet nothing gets published on Steam by a publisher without Valve/Steam checking it for any violations or similar. I find the games advertising with rendered movies having nothing to do with actual gameplay more misleading marketing than pics of WIP sim planes?

It’s clear to all of us that you have nothing positive to say about Team Fusion and all you do is just slander them, so why even bother to come here if you’re displeased?

It's not the trailer of a finished and released game, it is the trailer of a game that still is under development, an upcoming product, thus there should be no problem with showing to the viewer what has been done by the time being. We should consider it's something like a first teaser.

Otherwise, I had no problem with the former video, I see no point in making a new one, but still, let's leave it as it is.

Yeah this is silly, the second trailer was far superior to the first. It's only so much you can do.

And again, there will be a few frightened critics who will only curse again ... it also took a long time for other simulators to release new paid addons. No one is forcing you to buy and play it ... and if the addon is in development, I don't know why it would be a problem to show the finished models in 3D and other things on Steam.

Hello to all my friends!!

This is how I have my PC. Is it possible to install it on disk D or do I have to install it on the main disk (C)?

I have a PC that runs the IL-2 Sturmovik.com very smoothly and I wanted to know how you would do it?

The computer has a new CPU, 16 GB of RAM and a disk (C) with little free space. Maybe the installation could be done on disk (D)

How do you see it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

1/JSpan_Guerrero

And what are the campaigns that I should install. I am not interested in modern airplanes or helicopters, only WWII airplanes and campaigns.

You can install it on any drive. Its Steam only so you will first have to have Steam on your PC. In Steam you can specify where you want the Steam directory in which the game will sit.

Currently only BLITZ and TOBRUK are released. My advice would be for you to buy BLITZ as its cheaper (if you dony own it already)and see if you get on with the game first. If you are new to Clod Its not very difficult to get into with a bit of determination but the setting up of things can be frustrating and unituative. Currently I dont think that there are any offically supported 3rd party campaigns. Single player built in campagins do exists but I cannot vouch for their quality. Multiplayer is currently ery hiy and miss. There are only a few servers and most have very low populations. This increases if someone is running an event but it would pay you to learn at least the basics before joining.

Hola Guerrero. Buena suerte compadre.

I apologize but this forum is very large and there are times when it gets messy.

I'm sorry if I posted it where it doesn't belong, perhaps a forum moderator can move it.

All the best ;)

I have all the combat aviation simulators in a box.
Greetings and apologies for not putting the post in its place. ;)

Well we could also discuss moderating other people with no authority to do so. Why don't you just wind your neck in?

Hello Red Dog, the truth is that it's not very good what you meant by: "roll up your neck"

..........................

Yes, the truth is that sometimes the moderators are a little harsh. I, who have been flying the IL-2Stumovik since 2001 with Oleg in command and flying from the HL, believe that currently there is no alternative simulator. For example, I would love for DOVER to be an expansion of the current IL-2 and if we are already talking about Eagle Dinamic, then what do you want me to tell you... For example, in a simulator like Hell on land, if you could have the maps of The extension of the IL-2 would be the bomb!!

I am going to put the skin of one of my lieutenants in 1/JSpan_Horrido and you will see that having the template in PSD it is very easy to customize.

For example, can someone tell me in what format it should be saved in the Adobe PSD so that the SIM recognizes it?

In the HL image you can see all the good Spanish pilots and the Russians did not want to fly with pilots like: CANTOS, GUNKAN, BLAG, BULLSKING, and many more who were authentic ACES of the Spanish LUFTWAFFE.

@1/JSpan_Guerrero

It wasn't directed at you, but to Kintaro, who pointed out to you that this is the wrong thread to post about what you are posting, acting as if he was some kind of moderator, as sometimes he does.

This is what Reddog is referring to.

And "wind your neck in" means someone should back off and calm down.

In this case specifically, to stop the behavior mentioned above.

Hi,

I made most of the new skins for the Blitz and Desert Wings Tobruk releases.

For the Cliffs of Dover series (Blitz and Tobruk) you need a jpg format skin, 2048 x 2048.

The screenshot looks like it is from another game series though, as we don't have the P51 yet; (unless you photoshopped the P51 into the screenshot).

You can find my TFS official skin templates for making skins here:

https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/Downloads.php?categoryid=43

There are some skinning tutorials in the manual section of the game, which you can access from within the game. They are in the Manuals menu section of the game.

Probably asked and answered but: Is this to be sub titled Version 6.0 and  I have read correctly ,that the big fix for VR won't  be happening until it this version is released next year and it will be included at that point??

Out of interest, what timespan is TF considering "late 2024". Just so I can set my expectations accordingly. To be clear, I'm not asking for a date or a guarantee, merely an indication of the spread. To me, "late 2024" is Nov-Dec but to others it might be the last 3rd of the year based on early, mid, late.

It's a shame that the upcoming DLC IL-2 Sturmovik: Fortresses and Focke-Wulfs - Dieppe is not in pre-sale and anyone who buys it would already have a fly-by Fw 190 A-1 as a gift. :)

Well, the point is that they don't only do VR on airplanes. But they also create other objects in 4k graphics. I don't understand what you're laughing at here, everyone can make fun of you, but appreciating someone's work is different. The fact that it takes longer, it takes longer ... and in addition, the types of new airplanes showed from the beginning what they said about the new upcoming DLC, so I don't understand what you want to show on those models regularly over and over again and you're still dealing with VR here, the same models ... I'm glad that they showed new graphics 4K terrain, ports, building details, even in the distance you can see the buildings beautifully (they are no longer as blurry as in the current game) the details of the port, now the sea level by the coast is a beautiful smooth transition (graphics) compare it with the current game and you'll see the big differences. And as far as I know, other developers of other simulators also did not meet the exact deadline for their new product, there was always a delay and as far as I know it was not delivered complete. For example, IL-2 GB released a new addon, for example Normandy. And it was never complete right away, first they released 2 or 3 aircraft (out of 10 that were supposed to be released), then another new type of aircraft was released a month later, then another month later and something else, and so it went on for almost 9 months before a completely new addon was available with all the aircraft and included in the campaigns, and sometimes it took even longer, and no one complained like you here, mainly VR players. And mocking the team and the creators just because of the release date is pathetic...

Is there another forum where they have shown them over and over again?

I have seen a couple of 190 images, a few Typhoon images, a couple of B-17 images and a bare bones Lancaster.

So as per the first post in this thread, the fact it is supposed to be released in less than 10 days and we are expecting this content;

New Aircraft

Focke-Wulf 190A-1

Focke-Wulf 190A-2

Focke-Wulf 190A-3

Messerschmitt Bf-109G-2

Messerschmitt Bf-110F-1

Messerschmitt Bf-110F-2

Junkers Ju-88C-6

Junkers Ju-88A-4

Spitfire Mk VC

Spitfire Mk VC 'Clipped Wing'

Spitfire Mk IXA

P-51A-83

P-51A-91

B-17E

Wellington III

Beaufighter VIC

Typhoon Mk IA

Typhoon Mk IB

I think the over and over again comment misses the target as badly as the Ai gunners 👍

Mate, I've been hanging on Team Fusion's word since the early 2010s or whenever it was they picked up mod-dev of an absymal game launch.

I am unfazed by your wall of text; I am happy for you though, or sorry that happened.

Totally different business/early access model and your representation of what actually happened is completely wrong. You have enough gold bars under your name to know that though.

I think the over and over again comment misses the target as badly as the Ai gunners 👍

There have been pictures posted for the Mustang, Swordfish, and MS.406 as well. And there has certainly been a lot more than a "few" images of the aircraft we've seen so far. However, you could certainly say there has only been a few posts about these aircraft so far. It's also been awhile since we've had new updates on any aircraft.

I can see it both ways. More pictures of the aircraft development progress doesn't get us the aircraft any sooner than without them. So as long as they've posted what they've posted so far, then we know what's coming when the waiting is over. So what news is there to know that makes a difference? The only thing makes much difference at this point from that point of view is a release date announcement for when the waiting will be over.

On the other hand, it is quite boring sitting around without any updates. Especially now that we're in the originally estimated release timeframe. And although we've seen pictures of some planes in a near complete state (like the Typhoon), that was a long time ago and we still haven't seen most of the other planes in a similar state. I would hope that by now all the other planes are in a similar state if not better to what we say the Typhoon in a year ago. Posting several pics of completed airframes would certainly boost moral a lot right now. Sure, it wouldn't speed anything up in reality, but it would definitely be appreciated.
