It's only 8/8/2024. TF sim said that the new DLC will be released until the end of 2024 and maybe the modifications they are doing, why are you complaining in the middle of the holidays when there are several months left until the end of the year, over and over again. So you play a different game, for example I failed IL-2 1946 again and there are a lot of campaigns to download and I believe even those who play online can access various links without problems.

Yeah, the lack of official announcements is disappointing with such positive news being  being mentioned in the beta forums.

I'm trying to understand how the VR crash bug can be definitively declared "squashed" without the fix having proved successful in a Speedtree 8/9 environment.

Im not sure how we could expect anything else thought?  Presumably the "rumour" started from within the core of TFS and still needs wider testing within the beta players. I've seen nothing on the servers in terms of numbers playing that would indicate a new round of testing is/or has been underway (not that Ive be looking closely). 

 

TFS have been undone numerous times with false dawns. Id say the caution/lack of announcement is justified.

I dont think anyone is defintively delcaring anything. No sure where you are getting that from.  If the rumour is correct then its a step in the right direction at best..

While I would say that they are technically speaking shooting themselves in the foot if TF 6.0 isn’t released by December 31st of this year, if it’s delayed by a few months into late winter 2025 then that’s fine. I mean regardless of when it’s released we’ll still get 6.5 next year, thus maybe 2 installments released in one year.

We’ll still get FAFw before the next Avatar movie is released to say the least 😉

I mentioned that around the middle of August a new update was going to be coming out for beta testers that would likelyhave a major bug quashed....yesterday a new VR Beta was released for the beta testers....amazing what reading facts that others completely miss, allows people post fir others to read. :)

TBH Puma anything that proposed/mentioned/rumoured anything TF is gossip until its released given the history of slippage and misses. Even now I'll take the "fix" as a rumour given its not been tested thoroughly. Even then its touted as ONE of the big issues.  I just hope the 27 players who have accessed the game  in the last 24 hours are testers though the game's own server figures would indictate at least half of them were playing the TWC campaign. 

 

My hope is that, over the passage of time, TFS themselves have managed to assembe enough members using a range of VR to be able to test comprehensively internally as, franky the "i've just got a VR set, let me in"ethos doesnt fill me with confidence.

And, Puma, please, stop thinking that by "gossip" I was aiming your own statements. I was aiming others'.

 

Now, friends, please let's wait until some TFS guy (Buzzsaw, Pattle, Snapper...) comes here and provides us with some fresh first-hand information... 'kay? Thank you in advance.
