LLv32_Korva Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 First, I will tell you that I removed the il2 sturmovik and did a clean reinstallation. I also cleared the registry. In the keymapping settings, when I set the axis function to X-Y-trim ext. Game recognizes these, but when I test input responses, the wizard does not move. When I restart the game sometimes on settings wizard moves from axis movements. When I stop the game and go to the settings, I can't get the pointer to move according to the movement of the axis. When I go to the game, the axis does not work. When I tested the same function with buttons, it worked. It would seems that the keymapping is not working as it should. Starting the game doesn't work either. Sometimes you wait and windows doesn't respond, i.e. ctrl + alt + del and try again. I have tried as system administrator and without. Does the desktop resolution have an effect if I play with a lower resolution?
Ghost666 Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Ned a little bit more info please. What plane? Some planes use axis for trim others use keys. If in RL the plane used toggle switches/buttons then you have to use keys. If the plane used an axis then you can use an axis. If you don't have/want to use an axis then you can use keys set up in the axis command. (Yellow below) Are you using a custom input profile for the plane or the global one?(Red below)
spreckair Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 @Ghost666 Where can we find the information for each plane on whether the trim is available and which type of control is used?
LLv32_Korva Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 (edited) For example, the plane Me109G where the Elevator Trim Axis has previously worked. Now only the key commands RCtrl + Cursor Up/ Cursor Down work. I can see the percentages changing using buttons but now using axis pots. I only use the "Global" profile. I definitely want to use an axis for that trim function and i have it set in the settings. When I test the Input Responses right away, the wizard appears to be moving. But when i go on a flight, Elevator Trim only works with the keys. I stop the game "Pause" go to the settings and test the axis trim and the wizard doesn't move. I clear axis off and put it back but Input Responses don't work anymore. When i stop game and return to main and go to Key Mapping putting axis again on Trim and it's work. I have tested Trim Axel directly in the USB port of the machine's motherboard without success. So the game understands the Trim Axel operation, but why does it get lost when I take off? You cannot use an axis on such an aircraft's stabilizer (Bf109, Fw190, some others), you can only use buttons or keystrokes.
LLv32_Korva Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 Sorry guys my mistakes, i don't remember that don't use ELEVATOR TRIM to elevator use ADJUSTABLE STABILIZER AXIS on that :/ But now i setup my axis pot on that Adjustable Stabilizer Axis and it work on Me109g model and those button's work FW190 8)
Ghost666 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Yes, all Me109s use a wheel to set adjustable Stabilizer and Fw190 all use buttons. Glad you got it worked out. Try this spreadsheet By Hipsu, it's a very usefull tool. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WZFFW18zSU0ip5QIZQbmuChM5Tw_5u-sqDCEKO5kWk0/edit?usp=sharing
