Hi All,

I have recently purchased a Thrustmaster Warthog with a TFRP Rudder and am having issues with the set up of it all.

Being new to all of the TARGET software I have noticed that following is occuring with my profile that I have created:

  • Throttle does not work
  • Rudders do not work.

I have downloaded some profiles from this forum and noticed that my rudder did work with these profiles however it was reversed ie pushing left on the pedal I was going right and vice versa.

Additionally, I would also like to set up the following:

  • Toes brakes for the respetice rudder pedals
  • Use the "S4" key as brakes for when flying RAF & Soviet aircraft (same as what @Hoss has set up on his joystick)
  • Use the left throttle as a "Prop RPM" lever
  • Use the "THR-FC" as a fuel mixture control.

I have read all of the manuals from Thrustmaster and coming from a Saitek X-52 Pro background, this has been confusing to say the least.

I have attached a sceenshot of the Axes Mapping screen as well as attached my .fcf profile to see where the issues are. I did select the "Basic" profile when I started this profile.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

You really don't need to mess with that page unless you are going to set up an S curve for your stick or a J curve for your throttle. (75% travel = 95% throttle) good for setting up detents if you need them. You need to go further into your TARGET software and set up an "Advanced" profile for your devices so that when you activate it, it all becomes "Combined" I hope you loaded the drivers and updated the firmware for all that stuff before you started fiddlin' with it. RTWFM...

How's everyone doing? I talk to Taz on Discord once in a while, not sure if he related my family situation here at home, if not, ask him.

In TARGET you need to either do a Basic or Advanced profile, I highly recommend Advanced. and point it to your IL2 folder so when you start TARGET you will have a target for it to go look for. Once you get over your fear/ignorance of TARGET it becomes quite simple to use. Remember in IL2 you can use dx commands, but I use gui/keystrokes for IL2 and Sedenion's 128complete dx SCRIPT for DCS, it gives TEMPO commands on momentary switches and buttons, its all DX no keystrokes. There are two different TARGET icons to launch from the desktop.

You don't have axes assigned for Rudder in this TARGET profile.

If need, exclude the throttle "mini-stick" axes - they almost don't have use in this game; the SCX and SCY, and use one for rudder.
