Styx13 Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Dear Pat, All, I didn't find a proper topic for PWCG Tank Crew, so let me express my gratitude here. I've tested the Alpha version, and I know there will be improvements (maybe the Pz. III will works properly. But the mission logic looks a bit unreal. Some thoughts: 1. DEFENSIVE scheme. Armour units are usually stationed some km (2-5) behind the contact line, in a village for eg. near to a road or train station for logistical reasons. First phase in a mission: reaching the contact line on roads (German word: Hauptkampflinie or HKL). As soon as they reach the HKL armour units take up defensive positions and so on. 2. OFFENSIVE scheme: Armour units move to the designated assembly area. Usually fights together with infantry units. The infantry always escorts/supports the Armour units. The mission goal is to capture a location or destroy units etc. Always count with enemy counterattack. In the Alpha version units moves in an "L" shape, which I really do not understand. I do not want to hurt anybody with my proposals, just PWCG could be the first carreer option for a WWII ground warfare simulator. (Looks Il-2 GB devs doesn't want to pay attention for advanced SP carreer issues.) Thanks for your attention.

I don't know where he is on PWCG right now, but he has made several posts over the past few months that without AI changes/explanation from the Devs, PWCG has reached the limits of what he can do and is likely moving into maintenance mode. Certainly understandable under all the circumstances he has operated under for so many years. Very sad though since, at least for me, PWCG has so many features that I wish were included in the Career mode. Moreover, as you point out, it is the only Career for TC. So much lost opportunity
