PatrickAWlson Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) Been flying some FC. I am flying an Albatros. Flew against the SPAD a couple of times and found that the AI tries to fly it in tight circles. Killed three of them in one mission and two in another. Flew against the SE5a. The AI used its speed and climb advantage to get and stay above me. It did NOT do endless tight circles. Neither of these planes should be used to fly in circles. Why does one do this while the other is flown correctly? Edited May 9, 2023 by PatrickAWlson 1 8

For reference take a look at @Holtzauge’s new book
giftgruen Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 True. But nevertheless, also with a corrected flight model, it's quite a stupid idea to turnfight an Albatros in a SPAD or SE5. Both Entente-Fighters are way faster and also dive / climb better - so why take any risk ? At least the SPAD-AI-pilots act as if they know nothing about their plane. So easy to get and stay at six with an DV and shoot em down. But also Camel or SE5 pilots seem not to know their advantages. Just a little better.
