Heinrich Hoth's 490th combat mission November 26, 1942

Near Vjazma as Gruppenkommandeur of 1/JG51 Flying the FW190A3s

going on patrol near Rzhev. As of now he has 110 confirm kills

 

 

Hoth's info below. He is one the few pilot in my roster that NEVER saw action in Stalingrad.

How many hours have you been flying that campaign?



Pic related: Gruppenkommandeur of II./JG 52 Major Radulf Mertzer follows Leutnant Helmut Lange of 5./JG 52 into a dive on a fleeing reconnaissance Pe-2 over Kerch in July, 1943.  The pilots have 231 and 43 combat missions respectively.  (231 missions took about 170 hours to fly between Moscow - Stalingrad and into Kuban)
