I've been using the Topaz image enhancing programs for several months now. I've wanted to print a couple of screenshots I've made in IL-2 to frame and display. Jason had suggested using a program to increase the resolution which is why I've been playing with the Topaz products. I still can't make up my mind if I'm impressed or even happy with the results a lot of the times. Regular photos seem to come out well but screenshots have been hit and miss. It could just as likely be me not using the tools provided correctly and not the program so I'll continue to experiment.

 

Below is a screenshot that I played with last night and have absolutely no idea how I came up with the result as pictured. I haven't been able to replicate it but I do kind of like it. The background almost looks like it has brush marks in it. Comments would be welcomed.

heh heh, thank heavens for the limited rear view in mossie. I knew you were pretty close, if I'd known how close I would probably have been waking up my ECD more than usual.

It is from a scene of the 1981-Wolfgang-Petersen-movie "Das Boot", when U-96 tries to sneak through the Gibraltar Strait and gets caught on the surface.

There are YT-clips available, just look for "Das Boot Gibraltar" to get the idea.

Translation? Ok, I´ll have a go:

 

"Flank speed both! (The term "Wahnsinnige (Fahrt)" might be the 1940s equivalent to the Space Balls "Ludicrous Speed") Hard a starboard! Turn to 180!"...
